congrats … now hopefully spice weasels adoption proceedings goes ok
Spiceweasel is also adopting?? Great!
Odd story I know of … went to school with a kid whos 15 year old mom put him up for adoption to this couple … everything went smooth but the marriage didn’t last
seems they thought adopting a kid would help … it didn’t … so mom split… well 5 years later birth mom decides to look up kid … finds dad and kid whos now 5 alone birth mom decides to move in with kid and dad and go to college
Well mom and dad fall in love get married … but birth mom had to adopt her own kid back since adopted mom basically wanted no part of dad and kid after she left … well until she sobered up and visited on occasion
kid never knew anything of this until he went to get a drivers license and found out he had 2 adoption certificates
Why can’t Robin’s parents be proud of both?
I think Robin is one of those names that can go either way.
Eunice is never on the pole though. And maybe someday we will see Senator Mirage…
Yes, as I just discovered over in this thread: Walk me through the Robins.
I think Robin works then. As she is being sworn-in to congress, at age 25, I would like people to be whispering “you know, with a body like that and her attitude, she could have been a stripper”. ![]()
Congratulations. I hope everything goes smoothly with finalizing the adoption.
I am sure this is a really exciting time but also stressful with some of the uncertainty still.
You know, I think having a little one around helps keep a person young. You definitely are not too old as long as both of you are in reasonable health. I also feel that older parents tend to be more laid-back and calm, which I think is often a good thing for kids.
Why can’t she be both like the late Earl Warren?
I have a few female Japanese friends with the name Keiko, for “lucky/blessed child”. Seems like a nice name, and indeed is the name of a former justice minister of Japan, Keiko Chiba.
Congratulations! Adoptions are fairly rare in Japan compared to other counties, so this is indeed good news!
Don’t worry about your age or inexperience. You will learn quickly.
Thank you!!!
She was born yesterday Jan 31st. I will pick her up and formalize it all on this Sunday or Monday, depending on the mother’s and baby’s condition. This is a weird week for me. But great. Life-changing.
Congratulations! I am so over the moon happy for you!
Congrats!
Maybe call her Maiko. A common name, I know, but I think it sounds beautiful.
Good luck!!!
Congrats!
I can empathize, we found out we were getting our son only 12 days before he was supposed to be born, and then he was born a week early! He’s 6 years old now.
It was a LOT of moving, packing, building, painting, and shopping in 5 days!
Congratulations! You are going to be great!
Over the weekend I read a book with a character named Sorano, which I thought was nice and elegant.
Congratulations!

I don’t know how many stories I’ve heard, including those in my own family, wherein the parents adopted a child then BAM, they got pregnant.
And I was just reading a story on MSN where a couple agreed to adopt a baby and the girl had triplets! So they had three babies. Then less than a month later the couple got pregnant and became the biological parents of twins. In eight months they had five babies.
She arrived last Monday (6 days old). We named her Peaches. Because we cannot afford college.
Momo is a beautiful name. Congrats again.
Thank you!
