This is my nephew*, Peanut**, and the family’s dog, Sadie. Sadie’s mom was a Hurricane Katrina refugee, and my BFF adopted Sadie as a pup.

*The lad is not my actual nephew. But his dad is like a brother to me, so I jokingly call him my nephew.

**His name isn’t Peanut. It’s Grant. I call him Peanut because when his moms posted the first sonogram pictures on Facebook, I thought he looked like a peanut, so that’s what I call him.
