Anyone watch these? Because they were all new episodes and they were some of the best I’ve seen! And not only the shows themselves but the in-between ‘bumper’ segments were just as good! The premise was a New Years party at Brak’s house where all the characters from all the other AS shows were invited.
Tons of great ‘in-jokes’:[ul][li]Having two Zoraks (a Brak Show one & a Space Ghost one!)[/li][li]Frylock is Thundercleese’s father (they’re both voiced by the same guy)[/li][li]Quick cameo by the ‘original’ Brak’s mom telling her replacement to, “Check the internet honey, I’m still number one!”[/li][li]Having George Lowe (voice of SG & Brak’s dad) appear animated as himself bad-mouthing some other voice actors (and saying that his agent “laughs” when he tells him he’s on this show!)[/ul]I’m pretty sure that the whole ‘Brak Show is cancelled’ thing was just a plot device (I hope so anyway!)[/li]
Plus Aqua Teen did a great episode which had every single villian that’s ever been on (they were all at a meeting at Inigknock & Err’s place on the moon). Although, come to think of it, I don’t think the mummy from their basement was there!
I was watching it at about 1:30. They were showing a title card, and then went into Futurama. They played the Futurama audio, but the image of the title card stayed on the screen. I wasn’t too upset because it was the pilot episode, which I’ve seen multiple times already, but it was unusual. Did anyone else see this (I live on the west coast, if that makes a difference)?
Our digital cable’s guide is all messed up because they had to switch providers at the last minute. I looked to see if they were repeating last year, but the guide showed only the regular shows on at that time
Wah!!! I had to babysit my little nieces (3 & 5) and could not watch either showing. I tried but just didn’t feel right about it watching it in front of them. Nor did I want to have to explain to my sister their newfound fascination with the word ass. Damn.
I caught parts ( the two Zoraks bit mostly), glad to know they’ll be repeating the epsiodes.
And I may be alone on this one, but I am so crossing my fingers for The Brak Show being really cancelled. Never liked that show, thought I would, but that has to be one of the slowest shows on TV along with The Beltway Boys on FNC. Who knew even 15 min episodes (at the most) of a show could slow down time so much? Sealab 2021, Harvey Birdman, and even most eps of Aqua Teen Hunger Force end too quickly for me, I enjoy them that much. But never Brak & Co.
