I’ve played the singleplayer game for NWN quite a bit and I think its just a fantastic game. Very immersive, beautiful graphics etc. However, I’ve only played the multiplayer online a couple of times. The problem is that I don’t really know anyone that plays this game, so its not like I have buddies to play with. I’ve gone to several different online worlds, but I have trouble getting into it because usually you must make a new character to play and it really sucks when you are level one and you can’t hardly beat anything. This is especially true if you are like me and you want to be something other than a fighter.
Any advice on how to love Multiplayer? I guess I could play on one server for a long long time until I get experience, but its really tough when you are by yourself–leveling up takes forever.
Does anyone here play? Where? Any advice for actually having fun, not just getting slain by birds etc?
Try my module. I’ve increased the experience given so that you can take a character from level 1 to the high teens in one evening. You also get to kill my ex-wife.
My module is made so it can be used as a semi-persistent online server - it may run out of quests but there’s respawning monsters (some of which carry valuable loot) and plenty of shops, and quest items are kept from being taken off the server. If you have the upstream bandwidth find someone willing to play with you and host a game.
Damn you all. I envy you and your stutter-free NWN installs. I reinstalled my OS a month or two ago and now when I install NWN, I have massive amounts of lag, even in SP. No, not low framerate. Lag. Search the Bioware forums for “stutter problem” and you’ll see what I mean.
Very annoying. Wish Bioware would fix it…especially since I noticed the Pool of Radiance 1 module…and really, really want to play it…
I have Neverwinter but haven’t tried online muliplayer yet. Of course, I only had a dialup connection until a couple of weeks ago. I’m game for a Doper Neverwinter if anyone else is.
I have joined a playing group with a dedicated server. With Badtz’s permission i can put his mod on the server; we have several others there including my Temple of Elemental Evil mod.
You need to register, and then you can post to start or join a game. Two DM’s alternate running a game every Wednesday night; I plan to run my game late at night (since I have more time then.)
