Any interest in a multi-player NWN 2 game?

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in playing through a multi-player adventure module for Neverwinter Nights 2.

I was thinking of playing through the Tomb Of Horrors: Neverwinter Nights Guide - IGN But we can go through on any other short multi-player module.

Tomb Of Horrors is about 5 hours or so long, so we can probably whip it out in two sessions over one or two weekends. We can voice chat through teamspeak, or whatever other app everyone is willing to use.

I think we can make a go of it with three to five players total. Common, Tomb of Horrors! You know you want to

I have MotB, but I don’t have the most recent expansion (SoZ) - would that be necessary?

Nope, I believe all you need is the original NWN 2, no expansions required for this particular mod.

Ooh, count me in! Well, provided I’m available when you want to play. But yeah!

Sweet! We got two players so far then Kid Scruffy, you in?

I’d love to play, too! Definitely count me in.

ED: Hmm, I see that the recommended level min is 9th… should we hash out character classes now, so we can work on our characters in advance?

Yeah sounds good! I’ll go last and fill in any niche we don’t have covered.

Also, unless someone has a better app, Teamspeak can be downloaded here: http://www.teamspeak.com/

Actually xfire might be more popular and easier to set up. Let me know if that’s better for you guys: http://www.xfire.com/ It’s also compatible with NWN 2 in game. So actually, that is the better choice. Xfire then?

Y’know, I hadn’t bee interested in this kind of gameplay until the bad party Ai got me killed… again… yesterday.

Frighteningly, Baldur’s Gate’s somewhat chaotic party controls were a great improvement over today’s completely chaotic party controls.

Hmm, I’m thinking that I’d like to try the cleric, but if anyone else wants it I’d be happy to consider something else.

Oh, and whoever ends up playing our arcane spellcaster, please don’t specialize in evocation: low-level Summoned critters are unbelievably handy to send ahead of the party to set off traps.

Gah, early experiments have shown that I’m absolutely hopeless when it comes to using spellcasters in a timely manner… I think I’d better stick to the rogue or fighter for simplicity’s sake.

I’ll take either the wizard or cleric depending on what runcible spoon wants to play.

If we can get organized in time, I’m in for a session tomorrow night.

My Xfire ID is: kinthalisthornblade

Add me as a friend!

I’m good for tomorrow night… I guess I’ll take rogue or fighter, depending on what everyone else wants to play.

Regarding equipment, am I right to assume that we’ll just make new characters, import them to the module with the starting equipment, and split the (admittedly rather basic) gear on the supply wagon between ourselves?

yep. It’s going to be a tough start

See, this is why I always play the monk; not having (that) many material needs can be an advantage.

I’m afraid I can’t make tomorrow night. If you can get enough people without me, feel free to go for it - my schedule’s hectic enough that I don’t want y’all to have to wait on me.

No prob. If we get at least 1 more player we’ll start tomorrow night, though you can feel free to join us next week. If we don’t have enough people for tomorrow we’ll start out, all of us, next week together.

Sorry I haven’t checked back in a while. I’m out of town (aka away from my gaming machine) until Wednesday, so unfortunately I can’t join you guys. I’ll check this thread again in case it gets pushed back to next weekend, or in case you start another module sometime in the future.

Edit: In case it does end up being next weekend, am I right in thinking there’s still a need for a lockpicker/trap disarmer?

Let’s leave it for next weekend then guys. This way we’ll all get to take part and we’ll have some time to plan our party.

I just tested the game server and it’s working great so we’re go on that front.

We’ll definitely need a full time rogue for this adventure. Tomb of Horrors is riddled with traps.
