Looking for advice on selling my MTG collection. I have a bunch of really nice, expensive cards.
Looking for a dealer that would give me good value for them. Or an auction.
I’ve sent some messages to various dealers. Haven’t got a reply yet.
I looked at one site and the buying price they listed was about a fifth of the selling price. I recognise they are in business and need a profit margin, but that’s far too low.
Any advice?
A dealer isn’t going to give you a good deal on them, because they have to make a profit and they also have to put some time and energy into making that profit.
You can definitely list them yourself on eBay or TCGPlayer or StarCity. Then you do all the work. There will be fees. I think lower fees on TCG and StarCity (just card processing fees) than eBay.
Make sure if you go the eBay route that you look at the SOLD listings and price accordingly. Don’t price based on what people are currently listing for.
If you do the work yourself, you make more money. If you want money now, sell to a dealer.
