I want to sell my Magic: The Gathering cards

I have about 1000 cards and I haven’t played in years. They’re all in very good condition. What’s the best way to unload this stuff? Ebay? How do I figure out how much my stuff is worth? Should I just sell the whole shebang on Ebay or pick out the expensive ones and sell them seperately. (If the latter, it’s probably not worth the effert if I’m going to net less than $100.)

Maybe try selling them en masse at a local comic books store. They won’t probably give you full trading price, but they’ll probably give you a good bulk price.

Comic book store! That’s a good idea. I’m not sure there are any around here close to me (northern Westchester, NY) but I’ll ask around next time i’m in NYC.

you may be gravely disappointed. The market for the cards has dropped a lot. The most expensive and desireable cards only go for about $10, excluding things like black lotuses.

Still got any friends that play?

I got rid of my collection that way – a friend who was still playing took them to conventions with him and sold them off.

And the best bit… he just took a couple of rare cards as payment.

Looks like most 1000 card collections on ebay are going for around 15 bucks. Sad, I know. Either sell them to me for a little above that, or take out the best ones and sell them seperately. Or sell them to me .
