After Legend of Zelda: Oracle of the Seasons (probable spoilers)

Okay, so I finally made it to the end of Zelda: Oracle of the Seasons on my Game Boy last night. I finally kicked the ass of the big monster at the end and they rolled credits. Very nice.

But it gave me the option to save the game, which I thought was odd, so I did. Curious, I went back into the game and found out that I could walk around and visit with all the folks I knew in the game from before! Stranger still, they were talking about some more goings-on that seemed to indicate that there was more to the game. The young married couple, Din told me, went off to Labrynna for some reason, and Din was nervous about the mention of the place, but that’s about it.

I sent my courageous hero, Dorkk, all over Horon and Mt. Cucco and such, but I couldn’t find any doorways to any other worlds. Farore did tell me the “secret of Labrynna,” which was nice, but it wasn’t enough. I went and talked to others all over Horon, and many of them were asking me about secrets: the guy who used to run the lottery under the Horon Shop, the guy in the secret room under the clock shop, the priestess in the temple, Biggoron, the Diving Master, a couple Piratians… I tried the secret that Farore gave me, but it didn’t help.

So what’s going on here? Why can’t I find anyone who knows about any secrets? Is this part of the game they meant to finish, but didn’t? After I finished the game, it told me that it was continued in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of the Ages, so it seems that this might be the end. But it apparently isn’t. Or maybe it is. What’s all this furshlugginer Labrynna stuff? Go ahead and tell me… though I’d prefer well-crafted hints, if you know.

Long story short: the game is continued in Oracle of Ages. I’d tell you more but I’ve never been able to find a copy of OoA to continue my OoS game on.

Hmm… I found a used copy of Oracle of Ages and gave it to my sister for Christmas. Maybe I should have gotten her something else; I didn’t realize it was such a rarity.

You don’t know anything about the secrets of Farore, then?

Isn’t that the password that you get at the end of the game in order to link onto OoA? Sorry, its’ been a good year since I last touched that game. Its a good one though.

To link into Oracle of Ages? Is that what it’s for? I really wasn’t sure. The game didn’t explain it very well, and I don’t have any of the original material that came with it. I’ll have to find out—and find a copy of it. I want to know now.

It’s that hard to find OoA? Glad I bought them both when they came out then. When you beat one of them you can either use a code or link 2 gameboys and transfer some stuff from one game to the other.

The Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons games connect to each other. Once you finish one, you get a password you can plug into the other. Beat the second game and you get to fight the real final boss, Twinrova. I played through both games twice, which just goes to show what a dork I am.

I got them both cheaply (in my estimation) online just a couple months ago. T’was pretty easy. Unfortunately OOT: Master Quest came a week later but I did get pretty far in both games. I like the younger witch. Apparently the more rupees you allow her to scoop up the better her ride gets.

Boy they really like the travel between worlds bit. They did it with Minish Cap too.
