If we’re talking material things, I could line up a whole list of camera equipment that I’ve been lusting after for months but I won’t be able to afford anytime this century. The closest I’m going to get is to possibly own the Canon 400mm F/5.6 sometime, if I scrounge and scrape. That’s at the low end of things, incidentally. The high end is the 600mm F/4 and a 1Ds Mark II. Being a student is a nuisance, but it does mean I can window-shop and lust endlessly on a free internet connection. 
If we’re talking people - well, I dearly wanted things to go in the romantic direction with two people last year, but it didn’t happen. One of them I’ve pretty much got over, but the other one still stings. So that would be something I want but can’t have.
I’d love to have a sort of clear, direct insight into the way people think, myself included, so I could avoid all this footling game-playing nonsense that I see in myself and other people, but I doubt that’s going to happen any time soon either.
I’m sure there are plenty of others; these are just some that floated up into my mind.

If you meant, “Try to figure out what you originally typed,” I’d have to think that “without some doubt” is “Certainly” and say, “Certainly sounds like an interesting dare.”
