Agents of SHIELD: S3 E20 "Emancipation" 5/10/16

i think they’re being too literal, but the way I’m seeing it, is maybe Andrew was part of the “Lash” line. Maybe there was another Lash thousands of years ago that helped send Hive away. The power has been part of a long line of Inhumans that were never activated until Andrew.

In other news, Most Wanted is officially dead (again).

Hopefully this means the return of Bobbi and Hunter next season.

I think it makes it more likely that a core cast member gets killed in order to bring one or both of them back.

Mack… things aren’t looking good buddy.

I do kind of hope the Agent Carter (which is also officially cancelled now) cliffhanger gets addressed in some way on the show. I thought it might be nice to have them tackle an SSR cold case as a standalone episode.

She grabbed The Time Stone before Dottie could. Decades passed by in a blink. The SSR base looked different. “Agent Carter?” gasped Coulson.

Nice, now Steve can go for the rare aunt/niece threesome!

Yeah, on paper it’s the Coulson show but really it’s the Everyone Loves Daisy show. I don’t see how they can make it officially the Daisy show without Coulson though.

I’m fine with there being certain types of Inhumans who can fill certain roles, and each generation has a variety, I don’t like the idea that an individual Inhuman has some sort of predetermined destiny.

I know, dammit. The show, (as I sadly predicted) has turned into The SKYE Show, all Daisy all the time, She’s just such a special snowflake. Coulson turns batshit stupid regarding her even.

Maybe not from the start, but yeah.

I hope you’re right, although Yo-Yo going around handing out crucifixes and talking about faith kinda makes me want to see her yo-yo herself into a large, sharp pointy object with a nice squishy sound effect.

Ok this is officiallly ridiculous. They remove the best characters do the show can be more Skye/Daisy all the time. And don’t even give us the promised new show.

The biggest issue for me was that they’re explicitly trying to keep Inhumans away from Hive because he can convert them. So…hey, let’s send our strongest Inhuman over to him? They had absolutely no reason to think that was a good idea.

It’s a good thing they skipped showing us all the discussion that happened to make that decision because my forehead would have been flat by the time it ended.

Yeah, they were damn lucky that Lash’s blue energy stuff could block Hive’s brainwashing sandstorm power. Otherwise, they’d have had a whole lot of trouble.

Twice  This is the second time they killed this show before it started. To be honest it always seemed like a bad idea. I never really understood how it would be very different from AoS.

I was opposed to spinning off Bobbi and Lance too. I know the networks get greedy and want to make more money but dang it, they screwed the pooch. They should have filmed a backdoor pilot and slipped it into AoS, or make Bobbi & Lance’s adventures a running substory in AoS for awhile.

Well there’s no reason they can’t still do that. Calling it a backdoor pilot would be overly wishful thinking but they could have Coulson reach out to them to do some mission on their own and focus on that for an episode to establish what their new life is like. Then, as you say, use them as a running/occasional B story.

I for one hate all the swerves. Their set-ups are usually ridiculous and depends on unsuspecting players being manipulated. “Ha ha, bet you didn’t see that coming.” Yeah, Hydra’s been infiltrating SHIELD for 70 years and no one ever suspected. Then SHIELD agents do the same thing and get into Hydra’s inner circle in 2 seconds. Haven’t these people ever heard of background checking?

Ha ha, Daisy swerved. Ha ha, bet you thought Lincoln was going to swerve too. Ha ha, my plan depended on you acting a certain way and you did, because story. Patton Oswalt has clones to take over for him. Why shouldn’t everybody else? Aren’t we just so cutting edge with all our surprises?

In fairness, the Hydra fake out came from the movies which can give two figs what the TV people are doing so they had no choice but to deal with it. And that plot turn probably saved the show which was boring and floundering until that happened.

Seriously, why the hell would they write the characters off before the show is even confirmed? that’s ridiculously stupid.

From the article, it sounds like they did a general sweep to remove excess shows and this got caught in the net.

So, probably it’s a one hand not talking to the other hand sort of thing, where one hand gave the go ahead, and the other hand is the bigger hand.

ETA: It was also really bad timing to have them leave the show, since they can’t attack Hive with Inhumans. But then they jettisoned most of their human fighters.
