After Daisy is infected by Hive, the team goes after her. Haisy/Dive tracks down other Inhumans.
Not really digging the FitzSimmons chasing down the scientist at the collection of enhanced humans. But so far I like the Scottish doctor. And Lincoln pining over Daisy, heck, everyone pining over Daisy is getting kind of old.
I like the interactions between Coulson and May. Only May could really call him out on things. I loved Simmons shooting Hive. The Aussie trying to come up with a code name was amusing. I could care less about multi-girl.
May: “No one comes to me with their feelings.”
Mack: “Makes sense.”
Simmons: “You mean once we have sex?”
Daisy: “Are you drunk?”
James: “Well I’m Australian, so…”
May: “Phil, you’re not her father”
Coulson: “But she’s the closest thing I have to a daughter.”
Coulson: “I thought it would be cool if the director of Shield had a shield.”
May: “Maybe you could get a cybernetic one?”
Coulson: “Too soon.”
Coulson:“You mess with a man’s family and all bets are off. I don’t think aliens get that.”
I’ve been on the “I’m tired of everyone pining over Daisy” train for a while, and I honestly think that Lincoln is the worst of the bunch.
I always knew, from the beginning, that she was “the chosen one” and would have attention given to her. And for a while I was ok with it because the attention was more natural. Now everyone talks about her like she’s the Savior of the Free World. She’s just a chick. Her powers aren’t even all that particularly good compared so some to be honest.
That all being said. It was a solid episode. I liked the Coulson/May back-and-forth, love FitzSimmons and I’ll be damned if Mack isn’t the best character on this show.
Ms. Cups is all in on FitzSimmons too, certainly hope they don’t kill em now.
Also in the preview for next episode the announcer guy said “one on the team will die” and Ms. Cups’s response was “God I hope it’s Daisy”
I wonder if there’s a way to kill her and have her come back as the big bad? Hive apparently doesn’t inhabit Inhumans so that’s out, but there are plenty of other ways to kill a character and keep the actor. Remember Fred and Illyria?
I have to say I’m impressed with Brett Dalton’s performance as Hive. I don’t see Ward when he’s on screen, and that’s saying something.
Why does May seem to struggle in, or even lose, every fight she’s in lately? Is her reputation bigger than her true skills? Maybe the people that make the fight scenes want to do some choreography rather than just have her one-punch her way through a brawl.
She should have mopped the floor with the instance of MultiGirl she fought, even two of her shouldn’t have been a problem for May. And why did Lincoln stand there and nearly get shot by the remaining instance of MG when he could have fried her?
They’re killing someone off this season, and you may have just damned Mack. The only thing that may save him is that he’s the only black character on the show. Lucky for him there aren’t two, cause then he would be dead for sure.
They already killed the other black team member, and turned the one black associate member into Lash. Nick Fury appeared briefly and then disappeared back into the movie universe.
I said two episodes ago that Mack is my favorite character and because he is, and because this is still a Whedon show, he’s D-E-D dead. It won’t piss me off any less, but there are too many nice characters on this show for them to NOT kill one and piss the audience off.
Another exchange I enjoyed in this episode (paraphrased):
Lincoln: “So you want me to wear a suicide vest?”
Coulson: “Technically, a suicide vest is something you control.”
Lincoln: “So it’s a murder vest??”
Why do they even have that vest? The whole thing seemed crazy.
I was thinking about Daisy’s death vision and how we see the cross floating which obviously is Yo-Yo. But who was having a little bit of a flirty time with her when she was on the base? Who tried to learn Spanish so he could talk to her? Mack.
What if Mack is the one to go to space, and yo-yo gives him her cross “for luck”.
Yeah, I’m pretty that’s been theorized since that episode aired.
I’m real disappointed with this version of Hellfire…he seems to just have a version of Gambit’s power. That character is magic based in the books… and they are introducing magic in Dr. Strange. Seems a waste.
And speaking of multi-girl, can she make more of her? It sounded like she just had the four, so if the other three are dead there’s not much use to her.
Yeah, that part was a bit of a head-scratcher for me. It’s good that May called him out on the ridiculous double standard but then they just continued on as if nothing had happened. If you’re going to threaten Sparky with the vest then you need to be prepared to snuff Tremors as well.
How many people is Coulson willing to kill in order to keep Daisy alive? And why would May go along with it? I’m guessing Fitz isn’t on board with that plan.
I was under the impression that she can make up to 3 copies of herself and then become whole again. If one of them died, she felt the death, but she could still dupe again, but only never have any more than 4 total including herself.
