Onto the second hour and so far the only act I thought was great was Daniel Joseph Baker.

And it didn’t bother me that the Rhinestone Ropers weren’t that exciting or dangerous. Thinking big picture, it’s nice they did something completely different. It shows they can put on a variety show vs. an hour long knife throwing and target shooting show.

All the other acts so far I’ve felt have been so-so at best.

Mona Lisa just finished. I don’t get what Howie and Piers mean by no wow factor, I thought they were great.

And finally, in my opinion, here’s who I think will go through.

Daniel Joseph Baker
Mona Lisa
Silhouettes

No clue who the other act will be.

I’m too lazy to look on the official website. Who went through?

Top three (not necessarily in order): Silhouettes; Daniel Joseph Baker; Stephen Retchless (the male pole dancer)
Judges’ vote: Smage Brothers Riding (stunt motorcycles) over Landon Swank (magician) (Sharon and Howie vs. Piers)

No one seems to know if there will be a wild card round. There may be room for one - here’s how I work out the schedule:
7/26-27 - third quarter-final
8/3-4 - fourth quarter-final
8/9-10 - YouTube’s Got Talent
8/16-17 - first semi-final
8/23-24 - second semi-final
8/30-31 - final 10
9/6-7 - final 5
(NBC has already announced 9/13-14 will have season premieres)

If they don’t have a separate “final five” round (and choose a winner straight from the last 10), or if they have a special Thursday episode on August 11 (I think they have done this before), they can have a wild card round. They can bring back four acts and have 12 in each semi-final instead of 10. (I have a feeling that if they do have a wild card, they’re going to bring back Those Funny Little People for no other reason than to make it look like Howie did it just to annoy Piers.)
