At some point in the past, Biggirl (I think) asked who performed a song that said “Ah, Eugene” several times in the lyrics. I have tried to search for that thread and have had no luck.
Can anyone point me to that thread or tell me who sang that song?

Marcia Ball sang a song, Eugene. I think it was on her Soulful Dress album. The credits say she wrote it. I couldn’t find the lyrics. I’m not so good at finding stuff. The lyrics sites kept sending me down blind alleys.
The snippet of the song on Marcia’s website had her singing, “Ooooo, Eugene,” not “Ah, Eugene.” It contained the phrase, “Honey, I been good as I can be.” It’s a come-back-home-to-me song.
