AIM Downloading, Installing, Registering - Errors and more Tag Errors

SDMB poker night is less than 48 hours away and I played for the first time last week. (and FTR, I won and mega bragging rights). Anyways, the Dopers all communicate via AOL AIM {sigh}.

I have downloaded the AIM and installed with no problem, but jeez, it will not let me register a username. First the random characters (for SPAM?) does not show unless I cancel and re-register over and over and over again. Try to use the audio help, and that is not much help.

Eventually, I get the random letters to appear and I finally get all the fields entered and hit submit and all I get is Tag errors that looks something like this:

Can anyone help me or guide me? tell me what I doing wrong. I want to talk trash (and listen to all the trash that being dished to me).

After about the 20th iteration, I finally was able to register and get a confirmation email. get on AIM…whew.

YAY!

If a Mod could be a problem solved in the OP, that would be great.
