I have absolutely no interest in the Super Bowl. I spent today vacuuming, cleaning up, dusting, etc. for a business trip next week. There were a couple of episodes of Star Trek: Voyager and Black Mirror watched too. I might even binge watch Sporanos in Season Six.
I just couldn’t care less about the “Big Game.” Ain’t that “big” to me. Who’s with me?

My high holy season comes with Lord Stanley’s Cup.
I haven’t watched football since the Bears were good in the 1980s. And I only watched then because I was dating a woman who was into it. Just not a sports fan.
I’m doing chores, chasing my kids around, and having an email fight with the knuckleheads who allegedly run the network at my job.
I can appreciate the complexity of the game and the skill and athleticism of the players. I just never really got into it. And the whole brain trauma thing has eroded whatever glimmer of interest I once had in it.
After my kids are in bed, I’ll probably drink a stout and surf the net a bit, then turn in early. I’m an old person.
Paying bills, cleaning, petting the cat. I can’t imagine anything more boring than watching a ball game. Even sitting quietly in the dark lets me roam around in my thoughts, but I think they yammer during games and would distract me from anything better.
I did watch Justin Timberlake with my spouse, because she wanted me to. So I got to see who Justin Timberlake is. He doesn’t look or sound familiar, though. I kind of thought he was a New Kids On The Block type, but he looks older.
Went to an antique show, bought a new pair of shoes and stopped by a craft distillery for a few samples and a new bottle of moonshine. Bed time will be well before the game is over.
I know that there is a spectated violence event of national importance today, which involves men in padded suits and an oddly shaped ball. That about sums up my knowledge. I wish I knew what “about the length of a football field” is though, because it comes up from time to time.
As to what I am doing, whatever it is has nothing to do with football, I can guarantee that.
I think I got tired of the game back in the 70s. Hours of boring slog, where every minute of the clock seems to take an hour of real time. It’s like being caught in some sort of sadistic time warp. I turned on the TV at 9 am today to check on something, and coverage was already going on. Got better things to do.
Oh. The Super Bowl. That’s today? Look at the time. I guess I probably missed it. Oh well, there’s always next year.
Yeah, if I’m going to watch any sport, it’s hockey. It looks as if Seattle might get a pro team in the next few years. Pops and I have seen a bunch of Thunderbirds games. I wish he could be here for when we hit the big leagues.
I never watch it either. Not interested one way or the other, although I’ve gone to a couple of SB parties because the people invited me, and had a nice time.
Me? I watched “60 Minutes”, followed by a PBS program on Jackie Robinson that I had Tivo’d a while back.
Spent some time watching the little green parrot birds trying to drink out of the bird bath. The local honey bees have taken possession, and it’s funny to watch these little birds land on the rim, bend down for a drink, then start hopping around the rim as the bees get riled.
By the way, what’s the Dope’s code for strikethough?
I do appreciate the trailers that dropped during the game.
