So, what is there to say, except for the fact that the wedding went quite well, I can’t wait to get MsRobyn and Aaron (aka Junior Birdman) home, and I fully intend to get piss ass drunk at this party.

Just resurrecting this thread since as of yesterday The Doors Family should be here in Pennsyltucky and settling into their sumptuous digs at Stately Doors Manor.
Anyway, I haven’t talked to Robin and Dave since they got here, but it still looks like all systems are go. So far, definite attendence is as follows:

Ya know, Zap, I really really wanted to attend, but there’s this schedule issue. See, the weekend after is the Annapolis Sailboat Show, and much as I love all ya Dopers, we’re talking Annapolis Sailboat Show here!! And I only have so many vacation days and so much $$$ for airfare. Alas, there ain’t no way I can travel two weekends in a row and I lack the vacation to take and entire week off (not to mention not wanting to leave the Perfect Child[sup]TM[/sup] home alone for that long during a very busy school year.
So go ahead and yell at me if you wish. Or yell at yourself for not scheduling it the next weekend when we likely could have attended. Spread the blame around! I really do wish I could attend, but in the grand scheme of things, I’m hoarding every vacation day and every extra buck to spend as much time as I can with my long-distance spouse. In about 22 months, I’ll be a MAD and I’ll be able to attend more events, but for now, sadly, I cannot.
<deep sad sigh>

Yeah, but I’m older than your mommy, so I’m not intimidated. I’m one of the big kids - she can’t beat me up.
OTOH, she was delightful dinner company the other night, so I reckon I’ll not get you drunk, because I like your mommy.
I’m interested, although I’m not 100% sure–I may have some other stuff going on then.
I would love to go, but the boyfriend and I are going hiking in Maine that weekend. You all have my hugs and good thoughts.
