That doesn’t answer my question, snowflake. If the end result is Alex Jones getting kicked off a number of private communications networks, you said you’d feel better if the managers of said networks said X instead of Y. So words matter when they upset your feelings, but the rest of the time it’s just free speech?
I suspect “you” in that sentence is not limited to WillFarnaby.
Never paid attention to Mr Jones or his ilk but I have to say I am opposed to censorship.
Better to promote and support folks who counter such ideas.
Not confident that those folks who believe this kind of conspiracy nonsense (I gave up on ufos and xtians years ago) but it seems countering the bile in a readily available and widely circulated manner is better than heading down the “slippery slope” of censorship.
He isn’t censored, he just isn’t sponsored anymore.
There are plenty of places like 8chan or even his own web server where he can publish.
What you are suggesting is that people should be compelled to speech of others. Why should Apple or Youtube be forced to spread calls for violence?
Compelled speech is just as much as a violation of intrinsic rights.
Let’s hope so. I have a list.
Well, so do I. I can think of 3 or 4 Republican cousins that belong on it.
Hi, kids ! Have you heard of Marxism-Leninism ?! Let me tell you what Marxism-Leninism can do for you TODAY ! Free of charge !
I pointed out your flawed argument so hard you had to ad hominem me twice in rapid succession.
Your position that persecuted liberals should run and hide relies on the fact that Alex Jones and his ilk are murderous psychopaths that sensible people should be afraid of. ‘Muggers.’ Whatever you call them. In your position these folks are criminal scum who push for their political agendas via force and threats of force. (Which, again, quite literally is the definition of a terrorist.)
Again, this is a precondition of your position that we should all duck and cover when they approach.
Whether you, personally, are a terrorist would depend on the degree to which you are using violence and threats of violence to push for your political goals. I will concede that merely piggybacking on the threats of terrorists (where you tell other people to act in ways that please you politically because of the threats that people who aren’t you are making) might not be enough to technically qualify.
If George Washington and James Madison are Marxists…maybe I should consider it.
While most people who are Republican are not nationalists, the party or at least those in control of the party today are.
Would a nationalist wear a “Better Russian than Democrat” T-shirt?
The people running the Republican party are just garden variety grifters. The rest are garden variety yahoos.
I see, the idea of the poliarchical society.
And in case you wonder, yes, Churchill isn’t the origin of this famous quote but the unknown source that he is quoting here during his speech. Doesn’t make it any less true. You would not like to live in one of your city-states built upon anarchical capitalism. Not at all.
Nicely put.
They are not pro-American, they are pro-white nationalists. If they were rallying around the words of the founders it would be trivial to fight their ignorance. Their desires are antithetical to the concept of social contract and our constitution.
The bat shit crazy white genocide narrative is so off base that it works well for keeping the true believers in the fold.
Right - they’re nationalists to a nation that exists only in their feverish imaginations.
well see if your on someone elses service/platform ect you have no expectation of free speech… your speech can be silenced whenever and however they decide like being banned from here
The only legal recourse you might have is if there’s contracts in place and you get yanked and even that’s slim because usually there’s some kind of conduct clause involved ….
I wouldn’t say that I’m a coward. I would say that I put limited faith in political activism.
Individual? Probably similar to what my role is now.
I don’t care what spirit founded the country. You can have that patriotic bullshit.
You are trying really hard. When words I don’t like are used, I argue against the use of the words. I take it you don’t like the words I am using, so you are arguing against my use of the words. It is very difficult for someone to hurt my feelings using “offensive” words. I can listen to nuts like begbert call me a terrorist all day. It’s all in good fun. That doesn’t mean Im sensitive when I prefer he call me a silly goose instead. It’s simply a statemement of my preference.
You said I was a terrorist. I called you dumb. I don’t think either of those opinions are going to change as long as you keep trying to explain yourself.
I’ll listen the the Butcher Churchill when I’m rotting in hell alongside him.
It seems to me that your role now as an individual is protected by civilization and law and order. In the country you imagine, I would think your role as an individual would be almost instantly nullified by people stealing all your stuff and killing you. No?
It’s interesting that YouTube has banned ol’ Alex, but GooglePlus, which is owned by the same company, has not.
So you’re not fucking the chicken, you are just engaging in carnal relations with it. You are advising people to accept injustice because of the possibility of negative repercussions. That makes you a yellow-bellied coward, so just own that shit.
You are also a fucking embarrassment to anarchists everywhere. An anarcho-capitalist who “puts little faith in political activism” is nothing more than a libertarian with delusions of being a badass.
No. Most of our interactions in a society occur under anarchy. It would be very easy for someone to rob me. They usually don’t. There is quite a body of work and many objections can be raised. How about this. We dismantle the nation state bit by bit until I don’t care any more about what is left. Let’s get on the train, if we see a stop that looks appealing, we can get off there. No need to go all the way. For example, societies based on city-states through history have done some great things, no anarchy necessary.
I think even Google forgets about Google+.
