Alex Trebek, host of the popular TV game show “Jeopardy,” suffered a mild heart attack Monday and was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is expected to be released in a couple of days and says he will be back in the studio in January to do a new round of taping for “Jeopardy.”
In 2004 Trebek was unhurt when he fell asleep while driving, hit a string of mailboxes and ended up in a ditch.
“In the category “Things That Hurt Me,” your clue is: This two-word ‘attack’ is often accompanied by numbness of the left arm.”
Q: What is this burning pain in my chest?
“Judges? Yes, we’ll accept that.”
I kid. I really do hope he’s alright. I can’t even imagine Jeopardy without Alex Trebek.
(Jennings later corrected himself by pointing out some of Alex’s limbs come from Canadian children who donated their limbs after the accident, which would by definition make him a cyborg, not a robot.)
