Alien are coming....tomorrow, Oct 14th

Really, so the quick lube places (or Tesco? Do they do auto service like WalMart?) don’t slap stickers on your windshields? It’s pretty universal around here.

At least the US places are mostly using the static plastic instead of adhesive. I remember having a stack of 7 - 8 stickers on my windshield and I could never scrape them all the way off after baking in the sun under glass for months.

I’ve not noticed Tesco doing oil changes and unless another Brit can say otherwise not many places put stickers in the windscreens here.

Also, hardly anyone I know bothers getting their oil changed at all.

Well I have my car valeted every 3 months and my man always changes my oil…I think:dubious:

Well, when I figure long distance travel, I usually estimate 10 minutes per 100 km uncertainty for someone’s ETA before I start to worry. So, if the aliens are from the immediate galactic neighbourhood of, say, around 10 lightyears, I’d expect them to show up any time between now and about 18 million years in the future.
We can probably leave the snacks in the fridge for a while.

It’s from the Latin infantem (youth) and refers to the fact that the first units to be dubbed “infantry” were composed of soldiers too young and inexperienced to serve in the cavalry.

It happened 21 years ago (more than “a couple”), but are you thinking of the Harmonic Convergence?
