All conservatives on the "there's nothing to this Russia thing" train, come on down. (Shodan)

No, Hillary vs Bernie has fuck-all to do with the Mueller probe. “Exposing Hillary as a cheater”??? Throw another straw man in the way why don’t you. Hillary is in the past. She’s gone. She can’t hurt you any more.

I agree the Trump Tower convo with the Russians most probably went nowhere. Point is, Kushner and co. were attracted to the bait of Hillary dirt, and their willingness to benefit from Russian skullduggery is just the tip of the iceberg. I highly doubt the Russians brought up the subject of treason, but even if they did, it obviously didn’t register. What did you think the Russians wanted to talk about, borscht futures?

Well, Knowed Out and **Superdude **already noted the gigatons of straw you used, so I will concentrate on the other things you are missing, what I see the vast majority of liberals and now independents and even moderate Republicans (hi, senators of Arizona  ) are doing is to do what Aldous Huxley advised:

“Eternal vigilance is not only the price of liberty; eternal vigilance is the price of human decency.”

You are in reality demanding that we leave a troglodyte POTUS to act with no consequences whatsoever.

Fie to that.

As others pointed before, the flaws of democracy are solved by more democracy, and that means to continue to watch, to continue to demand better from a ruler. And if there is a congress that is just doing the three monkey act when we demand that, that then it follows that first those rascal Republicans in congress need to be thrown out.

She’ll continue to be the Republican bogeyman for twenty years after she dies.

Little fearmongering scardypants bitches.

To Trump, he wouldn’t think it’s treason. It’s just another one of his fantastic deals. He is that stupid.

I hope Trump has been colluding with the Russians, but his policies do not make it likely. He is provoking war with them just as foolishly as Obama was.

Clinton had known connections to Russian companies. After I heard that and breathed my sigh of relief, favoring her election over Trump was an easy choice. Her anti-Putin rhetoric was alarming, and I knew Nuland was still creeping around somewhere.

This. Its the financial shenanigans that are going to bring him down. Everyone’s all screaming about memos and FISA warrants and pee-tapes and such, meanwhile Mueller’s executing warrants in the Grenadines, Cyprus, St. Vincent and Germany against foreign banks with Trump/Putin/Russian Mafia ties.

I’d suspect Mueller knows quite a bit more than he’s letting on. I think he’s building a case based on decades of evidence and behaviors, and “colluding in the Russian attempt to influence the US election” is going be like criminal charge #63.

It’s not that Trump suddenly learned to love Russia because they could leak Democrat emails. Trump has been walking hand in hand with Putin and his oligarchs for decades as one of their money laundering conduits. He knew what he was doing the whole time, he didn’t care, because it’s business. He was making his bank, and getting his “loans that never have to be repaid at 0.0% interest” (effectively a payoff) from them for years.

That’s what Mueller’s going to bring with the indictments. The criminal history (and it will be a history) of Donald Trump. Granted some may be unprosecutable because of the statute of limitations (maybe, I don’t know), but he’ll still bring that info out because it’s background. It’s going to be: “The Unauthorized Criminal Biography of Donald J. Trump, by Robert S. Mueller ESQ.” Gonna be a best seller, too!

I really don’t think that is how these things are done. It’s akin to those movie deals between gangsters, where one party says “Well, I should would like it if Guido was dead”, and the other one says “Well, we should would like charges dropped by that judge you pay off.” Next thing you know, Guido is dead and the charges are dropped. No promises. No written deals or witnesses to an actual agreement. Just a couple people saying things they sure would like to happen. That’s how these things work. Same with lobbyists and politicians.

And I’m not sure you can say there is nothing that Trump has delivered on. He’s refused to enact sanctions. He’s tried his darndest to stop the investigation. He’s normalized Putin. Trump has clearly acted in a pro-Russia was as president. I doubt it’s a coincidence. Just like I doubt the need for members of Trump’s administration to lie to the FBI over and over about their ties to Russia wasn’t to hide anything at all.

That’s not really the issue is it? I know you have your Hillary filter on, but do you really think the investigation is only about finding out how Hillary “cheated”? Or could it be more about members of the Trump campaign/administration lying to the FBI about discussing sanctions with Russian intelligence. Or maybe members of the Trump campaign lying about their financial and political ties to Russia, laundering money, and conspiring against the US.

Personally, I don’t think there is much of chance of a smoking gun about an illegal deal between Russia and Trump, but to handwave the entire investigation away is just silly. I also think that the best thing Mueller and his team could do is follow the money.

Have you met Clothump? You two would get along famously, he’s very closely aligned with your political beliefs. When you two start publishing newsletters, please let me know.
Thank you.

Look, just treat all Republicans as being hopeless addicts and follow a bit of advice;

The memo is such a nothingburger that if Trump ate it he would instantly slim down to 239 pounds.

Those dead links make me SO ANGRY!!!

My apologies. They were noted in the other thread and I did some testing. Very strange since they’re the exact same links, but try it this way;

First one here.

Other one here

**Ravenman **smash!

Nothing so blatant. Probably more like this.

Putin in (2013): Hey, Mr. Trump your reputation as a great business man proceeds you. I understand you are in some need of investment capital. I have some friends who have some money that they are having a hard time investing. Maybe I can make some introductions, set up some low interest loans, maybe buy a few or your unused properties? Things like that.

Trump: Sure sounds great lets work together.

Putin in 2015: Hey Trump old pal, I hear your thinking of running for president. Sounds like a great idea. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Also, if you are looking for people to work on your campaign, I’ve got a few names for you. They’re our kind of people

Trump: Thanks of the list I’ll look it over.

Putin 2016: Looks like the campaign is going well! Can you do your pal Vlad a favor? Remember those friends I introduced you to a few years ago, well these sanctions are really making it hard for them to do business. Also Obama’s wanting to sell weapons to those Ukrainian Coup fighters. Any chance you can throw your weight around a bit and help us out? We’d be very grateful

Trump: Sure, my party is just about to draft a platform. I’ll take care of it then.

Putin later 2016: Sorry we can’t release the 30,000 deleted emails like you asked, unfortunately we don’t have them. But we’ll do what we can to help out. We got some dirt on Hillary if you want it, all you have to do is to help us get out from under the Magnitsky Act.

Trump: Awesome show us what you got.

Putin At various times in 2016: Here’s the message we’re pushing out on the interwebs, you might want to highlight it in your next speech. Love, Vlad

Trump: Super will do.

Putin November 2106: Congratulations on your win! Now you and I can really work together for mutual benefit. Forget about boasting your billionaire status, try the word trillionaire on for size. Now I know you’re kind of new to this whole governing thing so let me give you some pointers. First, you need to discredit or dispose of all oppositional media. Next …

You forgot:

Putin 2017: Say my name, bitch.

A minsk farm in Troll is far preferable. Where else to get your top-of-the-line minsk coats?

We pretty much already have that; I hope Mueller is trying to figure out who all in the Trump campaign participated in it.

By tomorrow afternoon, Trump brand diet hamburgers would be available, operators standing by…

I’m amused you’re reducing the whole thing to this.

Don’t you think it’s awfully coincidental that amidst evidence that Russians funneled millions (if not billions) of ill-gotten gains into Trump’s businesses, we still have yet to see something as simple as his tax returns? I mean, you’d think that having such a dastardly ugly rumor hanging over your head would compel you to promptly dispel it. But Trump acts like he is unable to do so. Odd.

At the same time, the Trump White House is crawling with Russian agents…but what? Is that nothing but coincidence too? He just happens to surround himself with people openly interested in advancing pro-Russian policies, to such an extent that they’ve come under surveillance by the FBI, and that is supposed to make us think Putin isn’t leveraging Trump to get what he wants? Okay.

But then why is Trump and the other Republicans so hot and bothered by this investigation? If Mueller is just going down dead-end rabbit holes, why isn’t Trump content to just let himwaste his time? Why release a memo that is about as weak and saggy as a three-day old balloon, and proclaim that it vindicates you when 1) the subject of the memo presumably has nothing to do with Trump and 2) the memo itself establishes that the Russian investigation into Trump’s campaign started before the dossier came to light? Why is he trying so hard to trash the FBI as partisan, when it’s notoriously populated by Republicans?

And then the sanctions against Russia that Trump refuses to impose. Like, does Article 2 of the Constitution mean anything now? What.the.Fuck?

It’s almost as if he’s doing Putin’s bidding right in front of us, not even hiding it. And yet folks up here still thinking this is just about the election. :sigh:

Provoking war by refusing to enforce sanctions that he signed into law, refusing to call them on their shit, and letting them increase their sphere of influence by leaps and bounds? That’s provoking war as much as Shodan’s drive by quips of stupidity are enlightened truth released like manna from heaven.
