Don’t confuse *articulate *with reasonable. If you see doctrinairism or rationalization or gotcha attempts or mere partisan cheerleading, those are no more reasonable or thoughtful for having been stated in complete sentences.
So no real proof but you’re pretty sure that it was treason, with a wink and a nod?
You’re going to get him impeached on people in his administration lying? If lying as going to hurt Trump, be would be dead already.
If there is nothing there then why wouldn’t you had wave it way? It sounds like a fishing expedition. A pretext to use the Russia thing (that you don’t think will actually turn up anything like what has been implied by some) to look for unrelated stuff. Perhaps the Foreign corrupt practices act for the bribes he inevitably gave to oligarchs to get projects completed. Stuff like that.
What do you think the genesis of the “Russia tampered with out election” comes from? I though at least part of it was Russian hackers hacking DNC and Hillary campaign emails to uncover incriminating evidence of Hillary and the DNC colluding and cheating to thwart Bernie. Sure, he didn’t look like he had much of a chance but then again, neither did Obama.
So what if Kushner was attracted to Russian promises of dirt on Hillary. What do you think they will uncover? Because unless its clear and convincing evidence of collusion against the national interests of the United States like when Nixon colluded with the Viet Cong to prevent peace until after the election or Reagan’s negotiations with the Iranians to hold onto the hostages until after the election, how do you see this playing out if it turns out that he DIDN’T collude with the Russians against the interests of the USA?
If Putin had the foresight to invest that much in Trump in 2013 and groom him to become President of the United States of America that far back, we should all elect him monarch of the world, he’s going to get there whether we elect him or not so we might as well pretend it was our idea.
The absence of evidence is in f itself evidence!!! Amirite?
What Russians millions if not billions of ill-gotten gains into Trump’s businesses?
I think there is a lot of confusion about the difference between being a Russian agent and talking to Russians. There might be one person in his administration that might arguably be a Russian agent but even that is a stretch.
Where is your evidence? So far all I see is a lot of investigation into how the Russians interfered with the election by hacking the DNC emails and letting everyone know that the DNC and Hillary cheated.
Because he is not clean and he doesn’t want to get impeached because he had sex with a porn star, bribed government officials in every country with a vowel in its name and lied and cheated for most of his life. Remember how Bill Clinton got impeached for lying about a blowjob during an investigation into a real estate deal?
Not to speak for Buck Godot, but if you’d actually bothered to read the post you responded to, it was pretty clear that it outlined a scenario where Putin got involved with Trump initially (i.e., in 2013) as a way to launder money.
You really are bad at comprehending shit, aren’t you? Maybe forms of communication that require you to comprehend the written word just aren’t your cup of tea? Radio might be more your speed.
My bet’s still on WillFarnaby to win the “Dumbest Post in Thread” award, because it’s tough to beat the master, but you are definitely giving him a run for his money.
Speaking as someone who would be described as a liberal anywhere south of Maryland, the intelligence of the long time conservatives on this board is noticeably higher than the long time liberals on this board. This board is a fairly hostile environment for anyone that is conservative and only the strong survive. We might have a 95% attrition rate of stupid conservative posters within a year. Stupid liberal posters have a much easier time.
Didn’t say that. But, yeah, that’s how these things are done. Do you imagine they had lawyers draw up a contract? Maybe videotape the meeting and the agreements?
Didn’t say that either. But they lied to the FBI, maybe to Congress and under oath too. I know lying is like breathing to Trump and many of his kind, but it’s kinda why some of those guys are under indictment. You don’t see the problem with lying to the FBI?
And, for the third time, didn’t say that. I think you have some kind of bizarre filter where you can’t read what I actually posted and respond to that, but instead just create something out of whole cloth. Maybe we could call it Trumpslexia or Ajashi Reading Disorder.
That’s a very convincing argument. The levels of prescience you are attributing to Putin is almost as hilarious as the “ready for Hillary” folks who want to pretend that Trump was a political juggernaut that couldn’t be stopped, not even by someone as awesome as Hillary. Fucking hilarious.
Just because Putin is smarter than Trump doesn’t mean he owns him.
And after you burn up all the liberal credibility on this goddam fishing expedition in Russia, none is going to listen to you when you say “AHA!!! This time I have actual evidence before spinning a long shot narrative (that I hope lasts long enough to get us through the next election)!!!”
Not that Buck Godot can’t fight his own battles, but which section in the following, exactly, are you saying has something to do with grooming Trump for the Presidency?
“Hey, Mr. Trump your reputation as a great business man proceeds you. I understand you are in some need of investment capital. I have some friends who have some money that they are having a hard time investing. Maybe I can make some introductions, set up some low interest loans, maybe buy a few or your unused properties? Things like that.”
Well, treason usually requires a treasonous act. A wink a nod doesn’t usually qualify.
If you’re nt trying to get him impeached or anything like that, then WTF is the point again? What exactly are you tying to achieve (I ask for the second time in this thread)
Under indictment for lying not for anything thy actually did other than the lying part. You’re going to hang them with lying under oath? Good luck with that.
I think its mostly the result of you writing as if you are reaching a conclusion but then turn around and say “I never actually said that”
If you didn’t actually mean to say that there isn’t anything there, then what do you think is there?
