The BBC TV series. James limps through most of the first season. Sometimes barely, other times it looks like he’s got a wooden leg. What’s up with that?
Is the character supposed to be gimpy? Or is it Christopher Timothy?
It’s been a long time since I read the books, but I don’t remember anything about him being injured or disabled in any way.
Maybe his wellies were too tight.
