Where are you getting all these points from? Did you skip Valk, or something?
As I said, that was my old lvl 80 javazon. She has a lot of pluses to skill items. The only skills that I put 20 skill points in were LF and fend. Everything else gets much of its points from items. In her case LF and LS both have +16 to skills through items. The other javaskills are +13. My non-javaskills are probably raised 8 or 9 through items.
I got my ladder javazon to lvl 48 last night. She’s much more comfortable in Act4 NM than any of my other characters at that level. With the ease that I’m mowing down everybody in my way, I can’t see any problems other that LE monsters in Act4, with the exception of course of Diablo. She may be survivable against Diablo, but the mana I’d have to use and the time it would take would be prohibitable. My other characters, with the possible exception of my sorc, wouldn’t have stood a chance soloing in the act at this level.
As for Valkrie, I’ve always used it as a target to congregate my victims for my other attacks. I’ve never used a valk to kill anything. So for me, a level 3 or 4 valkrie is enough usually.
Sorry, that word should be prohibitive not prohibitable…
I think that might be me, I play off and on, but not often enough to have a super high level char. I can’t seem to finish off act 2… damn Duriel.
Anyway, next time i make a game i’ll turn off level restriction 
With all you guys talking about playing together and trading and whatnot, I’m really tempted to create my first B-net character. I’ve done all my playing so far either solo or in LAN games with friends.
As if I didn’t play enough already.
Duriel totally kicked my ass 14 times last night. In the end I just zerged her (it?) until it was dead.

On my way to level 88, I picked up a few more items, including another Scourge if anyone wants to do something funky with it … and a rare Spider Bow with 180-something ED. It does like 60-ish to 140-ish dmg. It’d be okay for a merc, but the dmg isn’t good enough to tank Hell, I don’t think, though Who_me? (and anyone else on East who has a zon who can equip it), you’re welcome to try it out. It doesn’t leech at all, but it does do 1-104 ltg dmg, so you’re not totally lost when it comes to PIs.
Fenris, I went ahead and made Honor in that Scourge for you, and I think, after looking at it, that you’ll want to give that King’s Grace to your pet ferret or something. I’ll just say that the min dmg and the max dmg are separated by more than the min and the max, together, of your current sword. (Hint to the mathematically weak: his current sword is 80-100, so the max has to be at least 200, given previous mods I’ve listed). It’s in my asn’s stash, IIRC. Feel free to mule it to yourself if you like.
MDSL, crafted boots for you, but they’re not very good. I’ll show 'em to you later today, mebbe, and you’ll probably laugh and thank me for the effort:D
Thanks punha for thinking of me, but no… the spider bow probably does less damage than what I use now. I’ve given up (sort of) on my bowazon being my main character until I can up her equipment. I’m hopeless (as you’ve seen) at playing sorceresses, but when we get a group of Dopers venturing into hell, that will be who I’ll be using for the time being.
I have hope (so far) for the javazon. With good lightning and poison damage, she may be a viable option. She already does close to the damage of my bowazon and is 30 levels lower. I’ll want to level her 20 levels or so before going into hell… although I’d like to get your opinion on her eventually.
Has anyone here given thought to a Poison Dagger/Explosion/Nova Necromancer? It’s a bit of a one-trick pony, but those skills seem to have some serious damage potential. Especially since they all synergize with each other.
I’ve been contemplating it in single-player, because one of my other characters found Spineripper, unique Poignard, with fairly nice damage and +1 to Necro skill.
Bring your necro online. I find necro stuff all the time and almost no one has one right now.
As to the viability, I don’t know. I use melee characters almost exclusively and I’ve never had a necro.
I may do that this weekend. With 3+ days, I ought to be able to level him to something decent, and see how he’ll do.
What’s so bad about the boots? What craft did you put on 'em?
Teine, if you’re USEast, I wonder if you’d mind making a summoning necro. Those things tank as effectively as any other char if they’re built well, and a well-built one would be an excellent addition to a party that already has two very capable sorcs, an amazon, a high lvl barb, a paladin who keeps getting better and a few others ready to jump into the fray soon.
MDSL, the worst thing about the boots is they have no FRW, bda leech, poor res and the lvl req is 75. Other than that they’re spiffy;)
I would be USEast, and I wouldn’t mind making a summoning necro at some point. I’ve played one or two for short periods of time before, and tend to find them a little boring after a while, but it’d be a change from the melee characters I usually play.
I’ll have to take a look at how the synergies work out. Looks like I may have multiple Realm characters in short order. Do you guys usually play Ladder or Open?
Oh, punha they sound just marvelous… 
Summoning Necros are great to be in a party with, add to that lower resists and all… you’ve definately got a viable character. With all the minions running around it’s easy to get lost and be able to cause all sorts of destruction while not getting beat on.

Gah, that’s why I don’t trust crafting. If you find any white battle boots let me know and I’ll imbue some. They should come out alright then.
BMU, We can definitely use another player/char in the West…you will definitely get through the acts quicker and easier with a group of characters rather than doing it solo. Plus the item drops will be better and we’re pretty good at sharing.
We’ll be more than happy to snuff Duriel with you and then you can see the plentiful, wonderful & godly items that he’ll drop…:rolleyes:

Chronos, My son is still enamored with open Bnet and runs around with his 90+ amazon trading for some outlandish items…he doesn’t spend much time with the ladder char…his computer lags so much, he doesn’t enjoy the game as much and would rather have his uberzon kill monsters by standing there and letting them attack her and watching them die…pretty damn funny.
