Is this still meant to be on the list? There were two before and you took one out.
Oh, good, I can play. From your list, I’ve found Giant Skull, Steelrend, and rune Ber.

All I could find listed by that name is the barbarian helm. What’s the other? And while we’re at it, could we get that list organized somehow (helmets shields body armor swords maces etc)? A big ol’ block of text is hard to make sense of.
For that matter, how did you construct this list in the first place? Just going through all of the pages at The Arreat Summit?
No Gore Riders here. I remember there was something I needed, but I think it was a set item.
Hmmmm… maybe it wasn’t you…
I remember that the item was unique boots that had a crushing blow mod on them…
I hate trying to remember something about D2 at work where I can’t look anything up…
That’s either Goblin Toe light plated boots, with 25%, or Gore Rider war boots, with 15%. But Gore Rider has a bunch of other nifty mods, while Goblin Toes pretty much only has the CB.
Now Goblin Toe I do have, but I found those solo some time ago.
I’ve found Heaven’s Taebaek just last week…
Then it was a Gore Rider because it was an elite… now who was with me when we found them? I remember that he wanted them for his pally and it wasn’t theckhd, Chronos, or Yeti…
A Goblin Toe I know, and have at least one in both realms, it wasn’t them.
Okay, in checking… now that I’m home… not an elite. The top exceptional boot.
I’m not post padding… really I’m not.
punha, the Canebreak that you have on your list… is that a typo? I have found a Cranebeak elite warspike with magic-find on East and gave it to someone, maybe MDSL…
Close; went through the pages at D2.net and eliminated everything vol or I had found (the list was a LOT smaller pre-1.10).
Who_me?, yeah it is a typo. I’ve deleted it from the list.
Updated list organized by item type:
Belts: Verdungo’s Hearty Cord
Armor: Leviathan; Spirit Keeper; Steel Carapace; Templar’s Might; Tyrael’s Might
Boots: Merman’s Sprocket
Gloves: Souldrain
Helms: Crown of Ages; Halaberd’s Reign; Nightwing’s Veil; Steelshade; Spirit Ward
Rings: Wisp Projector
Amulets: Metal Grid; Seraph’s Hymn
Barb Helms: Demonhorn’s Edge; Halaberd’s Reign (note that there are two of that name)
Druid Helms:Cerebus’ Bite; Ravenlore; Spirit Keeper
Necro Shields: Boneflame; Darkforge Spawn
Paladin Shields: Dragonscale; Alma Negra
Axes: Death Cleaver; Executioner’s Justice; Messerschmitt’s Reaver; Widowmaker
Bows: Windforce
Crossbows: Gut Siphon
Daggers: Ghostflame
Maces: Earth Shifter; Shaefer’s Hammer; The Cranium Basher
Polearms: Tomb Reaver
Spears: Steel Pillar; Viperfork
Staves: The Redeemer; Mang Song’s Lesson
Swords: Frostwind; The Grandfather
Wands: Death’s Web
Runes: Ja and Lo
Set Pieces: Griswold’s Redemption and Honor
Couple more typos: Spirit Ward is a shield, not a helmet, and Widowmaker is a bow, not an axe (and a really lousy bow, at that: Less damage and higher reqs than most exceptionals).
Interestingly, the Armet version of Halaberd’s Reign isn’t listed on Arreat Summit, but it is listed on diabloii.net.
And did you bother with exceptional and normal items at all, or just take it for granted that we’ve gotten all of them? I’m not sure that any of us have gotten a Cow King’s Horns, for instance. Also, I note that you don’t have either unique circlet listed… Do we have them?
I completed the Cow King set in 1.09; a friend used it to MF NM cows with a Strafeazon.
I did neglect the norm and exceptional uniques figuring we’d found them all, but I’d forgotten that the two unique circlets were not elites. I’ll wait to see if anyone else has stuff to take off the list before I post it again.
I get to contribute to the list!
On East I have both the Cranium Basher and the Messerschmitt’s Reaver.
So I got to thinking about potless characters. Asn was easy enough taking her through to the end of NM. Barbs wouldn’t work well, but I could probably do 'em decent enough. I tried a Paladin and he’s level 23 in A2 and showing no signs of slowing down.
A Sorceress. Doesn’t leech, doesn’t have an army to protect her, just freezes stuff (probably maxed orb for the freezing time) and probably maxed fireball (for the solid damage and for the faster cast than orb, meteor or wall). Also a good bit of Eshield and Telekinesis and plenty of warmth.
This is gonna be tough. Any advice, especially from folks who’ve played sorcs a good bit, is most welcome.
(The list will be updated end of the day, for those who can’t manage to block out from the already-posted list what MDSL said he had;))
How about a combat Enchant-sorc? They get good damage and leech.
For starters, my sorc doesn’t even bother carrying blue potions. I probably gave her too much energy, but the result is that she can go for a few minutes at a time, with a continual barrage of meteors interspersed with fireballs, before running out, and she actually regenerates mana when just using meteors. Next time I’m on, I’ll check just how much energy she has. And she usually manages to stay back enough to avoid damage; if she’s bad off enough to need a red potion in the middle of combat, she’s probably dead anyway. You might also try a hydra sorceress, since she doesn’t need to see action at all (just shoot around corners, or from out of enemy range) Healing between battles could be handled by life regen equipment, a Prayer merc, or many portals back to town. If you’re taking damage, teleport back to a safe area, and resume clobbering from a distance. The only real problem is when you go down a dungeon level and are immediately ambushed, with nowhere to teleport to (this has happened to me a few times in the Throne of Destruction).
I would recommend against trying this with an enchantress… While she can do decent damage, most of her damage is not physical, and hence no good for leeching. For other classes, you might try a druid, with maxed Carrion Vine and Feral Rage/Hunger, but I’m not big on druids, so I’m largely guessing there.
She’d also kill very slowly, especially since enchant is level 19;)
Hell, the easiest no potion character has got to be a summoning necro. After he’s got a few skeletons, a golem, and a merc to hide behind, all he does is sit around waiting to do something. And if you go Blood Golem, he’ll heal you from any incidental damage you take.
Evidently in my sleepiness-induced haze, I mistyped 18.
Who_me?, incidentally I had such a necro and couldn’t manage to get him past Duriel in Norm, though Duriel is a task and a half for spellcasters early on.
