All Is Right With the World

I have a crush on a new guy!

Horray!

All is good with the world.

jarbabyj showed me a new form of insults like “dickwaffleiron” and “fuckmelonballer”. I haven’t quite mastered them, but now I have something to live for!

For your sake and the sake of this thread, I hope you’re talking about Lola and not her sister!

Well, i got me a Red Rider BB gun, with a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time, also, my family was interduced to Chinese Turkey…
Oh, wait, the real world…

well, i gets to go home this weekend, and sees all my friends there, plus i’m getting faster when running in Forest Park…

I’ve been excercising three times a week, for the sole reason that I want to.

My team won our last hockey game, and I made good passes, played strong, and generally kicked ass.

Mrs. Seng loves it when I make her a sack lunch and draw dinosaurs on the bag.

It’s 3pm and I’m finally getting a lunch break, which means I have an hour alone with a Neal Stephenson novel.

What? What? I want you to draw dinosaurs for me! That’s fantastic! Wow!

I got my haircut this afternoon and it looks damn near fabulous! One more thing on the happy list!

i’m going to go eat a popsicle and play hula hoop for Zebra.

You’ve inspired me to take my mom strawberry picking. Later, we’ll make a lovely jam. Tomorrow, I brood alone.

Wow! I imagine things and they come to be!

How cool is that!

I live in SF, and I love that store… any excuse for a visit to the bookstore. I will practice my superior tone of voice - got it on my calendar!

I can drive! No more permit! No more worrying about the driving test! Freedom finally!

My hair, which is notorious for being nasty and frizzy, has looked absolutely perfect and curly 5/7 of the days since last Thursday!

My mother didn’t yell at me today!

I’m going to the bank and the mall tomorrow with my good friend Nora, and I hope to buy lots of beautiful undies! (Underwear is my new favorite thing! I want lots of it, and I want it all to be absolutely gorgeous!)

[possibly TMI]My period is almost over for this month![/possibly TMI]

Tomorrow is Friday, and then it will be Saturday, and I will be able to sleep in!

My boyfriend tells me just about every day that he thinks I’m beautiful, even though he knows it embarrasses the hell out of me.

Only 5 weeks left of summer school! (I’m getting over a 100% in my US history class, and I’m barely trying!)

Scarlett67, this was the sweetest thing I’ve heard all day! “My husband still calls me “babe” (and means it), even with my gray hairs sneaking in and my less-than-svelte figure.”

My son is wonderful! My job is great! My boss kicks ass! I have great hair! I have great friends! I am alive and breathing and everyone I know is in good health!
My back hurts from sitting at my sewing machine, but it’s getting better and I’ll have a beautiful quilt in a few days!
Hoo-ray!

I went shopping.
I have a new bathing suit and it’s adorable.
I got new lipstick and panties and they’re adorable with little bows and pretty colors (oh dear, I’m being such a girl)
My doggy loves me and he’s soft & cuddly
I’ve lost a little weight.
Yay me!

Kitty

Our new car (the one my hubby has been moping about wanting for years) came in this week. We’ve been spending the last couple of days driving as much as possible to get past the break-in so we can really drive it!

I have a job that I believe in with all of my being.

I interviewed yesterday for a new job (that I’ll believe in just as strongly.) While I don’t know yet if I’ll get the job, the other two candidates are people that I highly respect and admire. Just being in such fine company is an incredible ego boost.

All is well

Well, I went by and turned out that Stenn wasn’t going to be there until this evening. So I stood near the sign advertising him and made loud comments about what a hack he was  Then I grabbed a clerk and made him check everywhere for Eve’s book - but it turns out they had taken them all to their booth at the film festival! He assured me that they would have some in the store next week - and found me a copy of Platinum Girl which I had been looking to find for some time  Next time I am in there I will make another fuss in honor of Eve!

sob

I am sad, because I don’t have any of Eve’s books, and I want them all. Especially the Theda Bara book.

But I’m happy, because I had an interesting conversation today with my husband.

Most of you know that I’m a Pagan. But I tend not to do much Pagan-y stuff around the house, because my husband isn’t exactly keen on it. It creeps him out a bit.

But something exciting may be happening for him tomorrow evening. REALLY exciting. It’s still up in the air, though. But it would be exceptionally cool if it did. So, I asked my husband if he would mind if I kinda did a little ritual thingy for him. Sorta like a Christian asking you if you’d mind if they pray for you, you know?

Well, he said that would be fine with him. This makes me happy. I don’t do enough ritual, and I really need the practice.

So after the kids go to bed, I’ll start rooting through my 187 gozillion books to find just the right ritual, or something close that I can adapt.

Yay! I’m excited!

Being able to feel gratitude for just being alive is a gift, after so many years of depression.

My kids will be awake in the morning; haven’t seen the little ones for almost four months during my six-month separation (moving family to new job and new home 500 miles away).

I updated the book reviews on my Web site today, which I just got up again last month, again as a result of the move. Still gotta fix some pages, though.

And I’ll be working on my book again soon as I finish two shorter pieces.

Life, love, work and pizza. Don’t want anything more.

Except for a few niggling details, your post could have been mine!

I’m happy every single day. I love my life. I’m crazy in love with ** Pump Action Gerbil ** after more than 6 years, we have plenty of money, complete freedom, the world’s best dog (sorry, Scarlett, we really, really do. Everyone says so.) I have a bunch of really top-drawer friends that I’d do anything for, my family relationships are all loving and whole, I don’t smoke anymore, I have a yummy pool in my backyard, I have every goodie and toy I could want, I’m healthy, the people I love are healthy, I dig who I am and life just ROCKS!

stoid

Not to steal Sengkelat’s thunder, but I draw dinsoaurs, too

Although, I really need to work on something more recent, eh?

As for happy stuff, I have a great job, a great boss, and great co-workers. I have a decent apartment with a decent room-mate, and despite my life being, in general, somewhat crappy, there’s no one I’d rather be

::shoves the bad stuff out of her mind::

i have posted 11 times in only 24 hours!
my girlfriend loves me and tells me so at least 50 times a day!
my pet rats are now in perfect health!
two complete strangers told me i was beautiful today!!
Not only is my kitten Psyche sweet and adorable, but he is learning tricks!!
My story is up for a fiction award!
all my bills are paid for this month!
i am drinking a nice tall glass of chocolate milk through a twisty straw…

could life get any better?

I had to go in to work today, but the problem for which I was summoned only took about 45 minutes to fix, and I spent the entire rest of the day doing nothing! It was glorious. Reading, napping, taking the dogs for a hike, watching Johnny Mnemonic (shut up!)…a golden Sunday. I’m in a job I like, with people I like, and our illustrious OP had a dream about me a couple of nights ago! Things couldn’t be much better!

Seriously, jarbabyj, if you ever find yourself out Montana way (and what are the chances of that?), I’d be honored if you’d stop by.
