All your applebreads are belong to us

Well, me specifically.

Goddamn, I loves me a good applebread. I loves havin’ it in my belly. And I loves puttin’ it in there.

Mmmm, applebread.

All right

Why the hell did you post about applebread without posting a recipe

Because then all my apple breads are belong to you. I don’t want that.

Okay, I’ll bite. What the hell is applebread?

The best bread company ever, Great Harvest, makes the best apple bread I’ve ever tasted. They call it “apple scrapple.”

Yuuuummmm.

I had applebread once. In 1960. It only lasted for twenty minutes.

Just kidding, never had it, but it sounds good!

Never had it. Never heard of it. But DAMMIT, now i want some.

I’m hungry. whine

Wow, food threads are supposed to incite good feelings of nostalgia and camradarie by virtue by a shared joy in the food. . .this thread is breeding nothing but contempt! I damn thee, applebread! Can’t you see you’re tearing us apart?

I have a good recipe for apple pie bread. Anyone want?

Good heavens, congodwarf! Why do you taunt us?! Of course we want the recipe!

Ask and yea shall receive…

3 Cups flour
1 Cups sugar
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1-1/2 C milk
1 egg
2 Tbsp oil
2 Cups apples-unpeeled and diced (Actual recipe calls for 1-1/2 but 2 is better)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5" loaf pan. Mix together everything. Pour into loaf pan and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Yummy, yummy, yummy! Even better with some home made apple butter!
