Almost done with finals- it turns out not procrastinating works!

I’ve been working 40 hour weeks on a not-awesome temp job with an hour commute for the past few weeks, in addition to attending grad school full-time in a rigorous program. There are nights when I finish work, go do six hours of class, and stumble home at eleven o’clock…just to do it again.

I knew finals was going to kill me like this, so I’ve been putting work in slowly and steadily over the past few weeks. I’ve been using Evernote to organize my documents, which has been AMAZING, and just doing a bit of work here and there.

This is my final weekend, and I have three large papers due Monday that require a lot of research.

Well, it’s 5:30 on Sunday and I’m almost done. I’ve crammed this weekend, for sure. I spent Friday night, all day and much of the night Saturday, and since early this morning working. But, I’m almost done. I’ll probably even get to bed in time to have a successful work day tomorrow.

Turns out this not-procrastinating thing works. I feel so…mature. Why didn’t I pick this up years ago?

Good for you Even Sven. I am glad you managed to get your job done and your assignments too.

This surely has to be one of the hardest lessons for students.

Balance!

Work and/or study first - play later.

Wish you much success ongoing - you seem to have a good handle on what it takes to be a winner in a harsh world.
