Wow, what fabulous advice! What creative (and brave) moms there are around here! And to think I wasted all that time at “mothers who think” over at Salon.com, LOL!
Anyway, the train tickets have been bought and I am staying away for two weeks, with an option to remain an extra week, depending on how well Lola does with having me away. I am going to miss her and David so much, but I will have a chance to lie on the beach, go to the mall, read a book without having to be on “mom duty”. Yipee!
Lotus, I am so jealous. I take my daughter to work everyday. Hubbybob and I don’t have any family here to babysit and our friends are totally not responsible (that’s why we like 'em) so I’m with her 24/7- since the day she was born. Three weeks will not damage Little Lotus, and with you expecting another I think it’s mandatory to take a break while you can. About Little Lotus trying to kill Littler Lotus- most kids try to kill their sibling at one time or another but I’ve never heard of it working. As far as I know it just makes for a great story when they’re grown-ups.
