Here’s the short story:
- I upgrade my site’s UBB (messageboard).
- It doesn’t work.
- I call Infopop for help.
- They won’t help me because I don’t have a license.
- I offer to submit proof that I did indeed have a license.
- They “do me a favor” by issuing me a new license, even though I haven’t paid for one.
- I repeat that I did pay for the damn thing.
- They don’t respond.
Hmm, looking at the above, I’m thinking that maybe this doesn’t translate well into a short version. For the curious and/or bored at work - the long version is here.
Most agree with me that Infopop is being a tremendous pain in the butt about this, and I should be upset. Others maintain that I should just let it go and move on. I can see the validity of both arguments - but I want to be mad dammit! What do you guys think?
