Am I the only person who...

Am I the only person who straightens their arm hair? This would be mostly for guys obviously.

While not something I do more than once a month or so, I always feel slightly OCD when I do it.

I just happen to notice that the hair on my forearms are disheveled, and I realign them with my palm. Weird huh? Not a narcisism thing, just a “gotta fix that” thing.

So, you might be the only person that…

Nope, yer not the only one.

Are we talking about “scratching” through one’s shirt in an effort to realign skew hairs that may cause irritation in one way or another, or consciously standing in front of the mirror and making a sighted effort? I’m having odd visions of the use of pomade and a mustache-comb.

Neither. Arm hair has a natural “grain” to it, so if it gets mussed up in the natural course of events, I just kinda wipe my other hand (umm…meaning, of course, that I use my right hand to groom the hair on my left arm, and vice versa) along the hair to kinda smooth it out and align it properly.

Think of how you’d use use your fingers to comb and arrange the hair on your head if it got messed up and you didn’t have a proper comb handy–it’s the same sort of thing.

Never thought about it until now but yes, yes I do.
I wear t-shirts to work, so probably do it on a daily basis.

I used to. Then I just shaved it all off. Got sick of looking at it and straightening it out. It wasn’t long or anything, but heck, if my thin, plucked eyebrows can get dishevelled, *anything * can!

Oh, yeah, I’m a girl. But I did do it. Obsessively.

I’ve seen lots of people do that, yes.

I only do that when I am applying lotion to my arms. It just feels icky to rub them the wrong way. Also, when I shape my eyebrows I pluck my widow’s peak as well.

There now, don’t you feel more normal already?

All the time.

Yeah, I do that from time to time.

Yep.
