Amanda Beard went on some radio show and trashed Michael Phelps. She was asked if they were dating. All she had to do was say no, but she had to make a big show of how gross she thinks he is:
First of all, “eww?” How old is she? Secondly, Phelps is “nasty?” She has “really good taste?” What a bitch. The guy got teased and bullied when he was a kid, and now, at his greatest moment of accomplishment and glory, here comes one of the mean girls to take things right back to high school again.
I know she apologized and said she was joking. I don’t care. She had to do that because she saw all her endorsement deals with little wings flying away from her. Plus, she’s not even consistent. On the radio she said “we don’t even talk,” now she’s saying “he’s like my brother.” Which is it, bitch?
Plus, she’s not even that hot. She has an ok body (a little mannish for my taste), but kind of a weird face. She’s passable, but she’s not a supermodel. Certainly not hot enough to “eww” at Michael Phelps.
Did you hear it? I didn’t, FTR, but “best Valley Girl delivery” tells me she was joking. No one says “eww” in a Valley Girl accent being serious . . . haven’t for a good 15 or 20 years.
I heard it on MSNBC. It didn’t sound like an affected Valley Girl thing. She sounded like a genuine airhead. She came off as inappropriate and mean, not lighthearted.
Oh come on, the dude just won 8 gold medals, wont’ have to work another day in his life, and can now walk down the street, proposition any girl he sees and more than likely get a yes (I was going to go a little more crude, but decided against it).
Anyhow, my point is that I’m sure Michael Phelps will get past it.
Amanda Beard is probably just upset because most of the world doesn’t know who she is anymore.
Oh Jeez…Johnjay and Rich (mostly Johnjay) are, while not assholes, dumber than bricks and oblivious to just about anything in the world. They (mostly Johnjay) want to be huge radio stars, but don’t have the talent or brains to do it. I catch them occasionally on the way to work (they have one segment hosted by their resident airhead bimbo of entertainment news that is interesting and usually on as I drive), and this morning they were talking about how many outlets mentioned them (TMZ! We’re huge!) God. If they said it was raining I’d roll down the windows to catch the sun’s rays. Eventually, exasperated interviewees start playing along, and I can only imagine that’s what happened here.
Not to say that Amanda Beard isn’t a bitch, but it’s mitigated by the morons interviewing her.
I would say that Michael Phelps probably has women (and men) lined up in the Olympic Village wanting to take turns to suck his dick so he’s probably not too worried about what some ho said about him.
She sounds like more of a dumbass than a bitch. Seriously, she said “eww?” Is she twelve? Does she think boys are icky? Either that or Michael has had to give her the brush off and she’s pissed…
Unless they added this since you read/linked to it, the first paragraph of that article makes it perfectly clear that she wasn’t being serious.
