Amazing Race All Star edition

There have been 7 regular editions of Amazing Race; can an All Star edition be far off? Each of the previous seasons had teams we loved, teams we hated, and teams we loved to hate, which of these teams would you like to see in an All Star edition of Amazing Race?

My picks:

Season 1:
Kevin and Drew

Season 2:
Danny and Oswald
Blake and Paige

Season 3:
Ken and Gerard
Derek and Drew

Season 4:
Jon and Al

Season 5:
Linda and Karen

Season 6:
Gus and Hera
Lori and Bolo
Lena and Kristy
That leaves 1 team undecided, so here are the marginal ones.

Marginal:
Uchenna and Joyce – Already won, but I really liked their style and attitude.
Rob and Amber - Annoying and underhanded, but great racers.
Shola and Doyin – Good attitude, but not in the race long enough to form a good opinion on them.

So who would you like to see in an All Star edition?

The problem with your list is that it almost entirely of “good” teams, meaning teams that don’t bring the hate. I don’t think it would need horrible people like Jonathan, but I think you need a much more varied array of types of people.

I do agree with you, CBS will always want to give us teams to cheer against. This was more of a wishlist of teams I would like to see, not so much who I thought cbs would choose.

I think it would be funny to watch a season made up of the teams that were eliminated first every year. All the worst racers EVER! I’d watch.

You know, I think this would be brilliant! Most of the first bootees weren’t really all that awful, and some were a huge loss (I’m thinking of the rednecks that spoke fluent Portugeuse here). That could be fun, but I wonder if it would be fair to have the Black family in as well, since they’ve been racing from a completely different perspective.

[hijack]This idea would completely suck on Survivor, though. I don’t think there’s ever been a first bootee that I didn’t completely agree with (although I thought losing Jolanda in Pulau screwed that team from the front!). [/hijack]

I’m with Robot Arm; I’ve had enough of Rob and Amber. They need to go far, far away. Same with Jonathan and Victoria. Neither of them fall into the “Love to hate 'em” category, as far as I’m concerned.

I’d also love to see the redneck guys that spoke Portuguese that got eliminated first from last (?) season get another shot.
Kevin and Drew are a good choice.
And I agree with picking Linda and Karen and Jon and Al (the clowns, right?).
Lena and Kristy would be good. They’re the ones who lost out at the hay field, right? Unroll hay bales and find the clue?

I wouldn’t want any former winners. They had their shot.

This very idea was proposed in a previous Amazing Race All-Stars thread. I thought it should be called TAR: Grudge Match.

I’m reminded of the Monster House episode where the team consisted of builders who had been thrown out of previous projects for inability to work together or at least general asshattedness. Amazingly, instead of disaster, there were some real Learning Moments and the project got built.

With that in mind, it would have to include Zach & Flo, Wil & Tara, * & Victimia, Colin & Whatserface, and today’s Paholes (just Mama and Brian if it’s 2-member teams).

I’ll third this.

While watching the TAR reruns on the Game Show Network, I didn’t have quite the hatred for Rob and Amber as I’d previously had (although I found this to be true of all teams I had once hated—perhaps because I knew how it was going to end. The one team which still irked as much as ever was Freddy and KKKendra, and I knew that they were going to win), but their time is O-V-E-R if I have a vote.

I like the idea (if we have to have an All-Star edition – I generally dislike stunt casting, All Stars, etc on my reality shows). But how much would it suck to be the team that was first off on two different seasons?
