The Amazing Race: All-Stars cast announced

Season 11 of The Amazing Race is set to premiere on Sunday, February 18 at 8pm ET. For those of you who haven’t heard, it’s an all-star edition, featuring notable teams from previous seasons. The cast:

Teri & Ian       season 3  2nd place

Rob & Amber      season 7  2nd place
Eric & Danielle  season 9  2nd/7th place (mixed team)
Dustin & Kandice season 10 4th place
David & Mary     season 10 6th place

So. Some fan favorites, clearly, as well as some teams with…heatedly mixed reviews (three guesses as to which one I mean). An odd choice with David & Mary (IMO) and one team that’s a mix of two previous teams. And, I should point out, only one previous winner. Luckily no Jonathan, though.

It seems to me that the competition should be intense: everyone’s gone through this before, and there are no real dud teams here. As a point of discussion, I wonder if the early-season teams will be at a disadvantage, since the Race and the strategy has been refined from season to season.

Oh God DAMN it. I searched CS before I posted this–only I searched for “amazing,” and apparently no one in the other thread actually typed out that word. Lazy acronym-using bastards.
