And even when I translate the pages to English, I can’t find anyplace to change my default language. I searched Help, I checked my account settings and everything I could think of. I logged out and back in again. Only Amazon is affected like this. Their telephone help line is closed for the night.

Never mind, found it (there’s a choice button near the bottom of the main page, don’t know how it got changed, but now it’s working).
OK great, also just to know you can use Chrome browser which will offer to translate the page back to english. It won’t be the amazon english page, but google translating the language on the page and displaying that instead. But it should give you enough to find out how to change it back.

Yes, I think so, that’s why my first sentence says “Even when I translate the pages to English, I can’t find anyplace to change my default language,” which of course was misleading, I wasn’t translating it myself, I was having Google translate it on my Chrome browser. Sorry I wasn’t more specific.
