even with the high demand they are now delivering some packages early. And today I am getting 2 packages same day I ordered them. I even got a camera filter early and I don’t think that is an essential item.
They are now estimating delivery in 4 or 5 weeks. I made an order a couple weeks ago that was estimated for April 16 and was actually delivered yesterday. I made an order last Wednesday whose delivery was estimated for May 6. We will see.
If it’s food or similar items they don’t estimate 3-4 weeks. I got a stapler in 2 days, I guess that’s a work at home item. The camera filter was supposed to be 3 weeks but it was 3 days. Ordered a camera lens they are saying 3 weeks but I bet it arrives way before that. People are happier when things are early so I can see them making estimates that they can beat.
It takes a little longer to get post to Trantor. My orders have been between on time and 20 days out, but tending to arrive earlier. I’ve been grouping them when possible to decrease contact, carbon, and wear and tear on the system (sending Easter/Pessch treats to my friends’ kids).
latest delivery was a guy in car. Maybe they are using instacart too.
I placed an order on Thursday, April 2, and they estimate delivery on April 30; exactly four weeks later. It’s nothing crisis related, though.
For at least the next couple of days, I can’t get a delivery slot for their Fresh Delivery service. It worked great last week, but not now. Same for Walmart Grocery Delivery, all booked up.
Are the drivers striking? I hope this gets fixed quickly. I don’t have a mask to wear outside.
Giant’s Peapod delivery is very limited in my area and all booked up for this month. I’m guessing other stores are doing the same.
I could not get a delivery time from Amazon fresh for a while but today I put an order in and it is arriving Monday. Pretty sure demand is more then the number of drivers .
Curbside pickup from multiple groceries is booked about a week out where I am.
I am finding delivery items very bizarre. I order a computer hard drive from Newegg and it arrived the next day, not even 24 hours later. Other items come on time to scheduled next month.
I got an order of assorted foods from Amazon Pantry a day early…but half the cans were dented. It’s obvious they were dented before being packed into the box. Not a huge deal I suppose, but I’d rather not pay full price for damaged goods.
logged into credit union and saw Amazon charged me $297 and I knew that was wrong. then I noticed they screwed up and gave me $297 for no reason. Maybe their database has the virus.
Everything is sort of all over the place for me right now. Most things seem to be about 3 weeks out. OTOH, I ordered a food dehydrator (to dry 3D printer filament) and it showed up in 2 days. I’m assuming that it showed up so fast because it’s related to food. Maybe?
And, I’ll continue to say what I’ve been saying. They should give all their prime members a credit for 2 (or more) months of prime. That would give us all a little spending money, which would look good for them, but more so because normal deliveries are taking weeks instead of days so they can get essential items delivered, but at the same time a lot of essential items are out of stock and you can’t order them anyway.
ordered hair clippers and they said they would be here on the 18th but now they say arriving on the 10th. Camera lens targeted for the 24th and no change so far.
Three packages sent to two different addresses showed up early. Two had food, one had hair ties.
My lens scheduled for the 24th in now coming on the 9th .
Got another package early.
Amazon is prioritizing food, personal care and medical supplies at this point, which makes sense. What doesn’t always make sense to me is what is considered essential, but I guess sometimes those are defined by a technicality. Anyway, if you ordered something that doesn’t fall under the necessity category it’ll probably be late. If you have a target nearby and they make whatever you want and you don’t feel like you can wait, the target app allows you to order things for pickup. I think they deliver, too, depending upon the item.
and it actually came today on the 7th.
