Baker: If you ever find yourself in San Francisco, be sure to make a pit stop (pit stop! I slay myself sometimes!) at The Original Tommy’s Joynt at Geary & Van Ness. They have quite a few beers from all over the world.
Done. And I haven’t been back to Chicago in many years, but when I was there at school for a year, there was a place called Jimmy’s on E. 55th St. , right across from the University of Chicago. It had dozens of beers, and a reference library behind the bar, for settling questions of fact. This was pre-Internet you see, I’m a fossil.

Hey, you guys, just relax and realize one thing: sincerity, truthfulness, and emotion don’t usually translate well when typed. Hence, I try to take everything with a grain of salt. I’ve typed a dozen things feeling mischevious, thinking the whole internet community would bust a gut. Not a good idea, because nobody can see my face.

Thanks for taking the high road there, Monty. And sorry, but most people don’t take the time to write as much as you have about something they don’t care about (unless it’s for work or school.)
My original hope was the ambushed’s behavior could be explained by the emotional nature of the subject…but given his/her post in this thread, and that s/he has senstitively started a new thread in response entitled Monty, you are a wretched LIAR!, I’m not so sure. ambushed is being highly reactive and emotional, but you’re not helping, Monty.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say ambushed is being highly reactive and emotional. When s/he said that Monty “hated the truth” and loved lies, I thought that was a pretty good example of calm, rational debate.
Truth hater!
Criminy, aurelia. Get some help with the big words, will you?
What big words? I’m a grad student, and I’ve never claimed to be anything but a word snob. Lighten up.
