American Dad 1/7 (spoilers)

Guess who’s coming to dinner  ? This should be good.

Crap! That should be 7/1, not 1/1 :smack: .

Again. No, it should be 1/7.

Anyway I’ve got to go set the TiVo.

Haley’s right (unless the shock kills Cheney and Nancy gets the job!).

It was great!

Unless football goes long and you lose the last ten minutes because from 7:30-7:40 you got to watch the last ten minutes of The Simpsons…

-Joe

Well, out here on the West Coast, The Simpsons comes on at 8:00 p.m. and American Dad at 9:00, so the whole 7:30-7:40 thing doesn’t really signify.

Just in case, I decided to reconnoiter Fox11, and I learned that they are runniing on schedule. Thanks for the heads up, though.

I caught it, and liked it. Favorite bits: Roger painstakingly makes a cocktail and chooses between two teeny umbrellas… for HIMSELF!.. before giving a drink to the choking President. And the daughter taking cellphone pictures of the drunken POTUS. And Bush describing, at great length, all the drinks he used to enjoy.

I missed a little near the beginning, though. After Stan’s CIA boss tells him his letter was missing something and Bush wouldn’t be coming to his house for dinner, why did Bush end up going there anyway?

The other agent plagiarized vast amounts from Willy Wonka.

Really? Did they quote anything? Tell me more, if there is any. Thanks!

There was no more, I’m afraid. Just ‘plagiarized from Willy Wonka’ and on with the story.

Bush dancing the “Skull & Bones.” Priceless.

My favorite drink name: Gorilla Farts.

For some reason that made me crack up.

Gorilla Fart

Can someone spoil the ending for me? Like Merijeek, I got to miss the last 10 minutes due to the football runover.

This is as best as I can remember-

After President Bush starts drinking again, Stan attempts to chase him down. When they finally reach him, Bush realizes that being President is a hard job, and he wants out. Stan reads Bush his essay, and Bush realizes that he has a legacy to fulfill and changes his mind. Stan accidentially discovers that the flask Hayley had in her purse was hers, and chides her again for being a lost cause. Bush comments that Hayley is not a lost cause- after all, he drank a lot, and look at him now- he’s the President! She still has a long life ahead of her. For the first time in her life, Hayley agrees with something Bush has said. Roger finally gives up on attempting to turn in bin Laden and perhaps will raise money to buy Dollywood in some other way. He shouldn’t have given up, though- he was right all along.
