I didn’t see a thread on this, and I we just got around to watching this season’s last episode yesterday, so here it is.

First of all, what a sorry episode. Yeah, there were a few good moments, but overall it didn’t do it for me at all. Issues:

  1. Will’s strange and seemingly pointless camp subplot. Were we supposed to be learning a lesson or something?

  2. Meg’s behavior throughout the episode. Yeah, I know teenagers do stupid things sometimes, but running off with Chris seemed way out of character for her.

  3. Speaking of running off, I guess we’re supposed to believe that a) Meg would run off without saying goodbye to Sam, and b) Sam wouldn’t be upset about it. I was waiting for a scene where she disclosed her plans to him so he could talk some sense into her, but nope.

Overall, these last few episodes have been pretty poor. It’s like they had to somewhat wrap things up for the season early so they crammed six episodes of story into three. I really hope they get renewed for another season, if only to give us a better closure than this.

I agree. It seems to me that they’ve given up on renewal. The Will camp stuff was odd, usually the script is a bit tighter than that but here it seems that they just had to squeeze in some Will lines.

Meg’s actions made no sense at all. Her love for El-Creepo just does not seem to come across as genuine. Plus she’s going across the continent on motorcycle with no bags at all. What is she going to wear?

The series went from great the first year to good the second to mediocre this year. Time to say goodbye.
