American Horror Story: Apocalypse (open spoilers)

Well I guess the Antichrist doesn’t need to be the result of a ghost impregnating a human after all. :stuck_out_tongue: I wasn’t expecting that, but it did excuse wasting any more screen time on Timothy & Emily. I assume the entire reason they were selected for the bunker in the first place was as a backup in case Michael didn’t survive the apocalypse and needed to be reincarnated. I was afraid that Madison, Misty, & Queenie would end up trapped in hell/the Cortez after the reset, but that’s not he case. Still no clue what the fuck Mallory actually is. The Sacred Taking actually worked on her suggesting she’s a witch, but apparently she didn’t exist in 2015 until she traveled back in time. So where did she come from?

Good call.

My main takeaway was wondering why any witches needed to be in the bunker at all. It was no trouble for them to just bury themselves in Louisiana mud for a year and then waltz into the bunker as they pleased, so why not have Mallory and Coco just do that with them?

I’m sorry, can you spell that out? How would Timothy and Emily help Michael get reincarnated?

Going into this episode I thought they had too many loose ends but they seem to have tied them up nicely in my view.

I didn’t recognize them while watching, but I think alphaboi is saying that the parents of the new antichrist in the final scene were Timothy and Emily.

Oh, I see! Thanks for pointing it out.

I think she came from her mother’s womb, lived through one version of history in which the Apocalypse occurs, and then re-inhabited her 2015 self via her Supreme witch powers, which she either used but once or else is keeping under wraps to just let Cordelia play at being Supreme.

They didn’t fill in all the blanks, though. Maybe after she was done with Langdon, she drove over to one of her hangouts and ran over her previous self, cooly put it in reverse, ran over her former self again, and then back to drive for a third go before putting it in park, walking over to her dying, original self who pleads, “Help me! I’m afraid!” and sneering, “Go to hell!” before strolling away to inhabit the altered future without a troublesome double, but they just don’t show that until season 9. Who knows? The writers left enough wiggle room here that they could go in all kinds of directions.

I liked this season a lot. I thought the story was coherent yet insane, like AHS showed some of its potential this time. And we saw a lot of the crazy action that can happen in the AHS world. One example- the Antichrist is here to kill the witches because voodoo unlocked the door! Gotta fight back, quick, grab a knife and slit your own throat! Oh no, the Battleaxe 9000 bleeds milk when cut but doesn’t stop! It is just loony.
