They played that Sting song a LOT around 9-11. If you read the lyrics, you’ll understand why. It’s a beautiful song. Our church choir (UU of course) did a rendition of it the Sunday after 9-11 and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

I notice Archuleta’s lip-licking constantly, as well as his gasping breathing. He has a great voice, but his vocal and stage mannerisms are really distracting and annoying.

I don’t know why they said he didn’t do anything with it. He sped it up a little and put some Spanish lyrics in it. I enjoyed it, but it would have been better if he kept it slow. He’s still smiling a little too much and it didn’t fit the song at all. Does he listen to the lyrics he’s singing?

It’s called “Fragile”. I can’t remember it having Spanish lyrics, but Castro is Latino, so that might have something to do with it.

I still hate Snow White. This is kind of a gutless song to choose. It’s easy to sing, no real range. She always picks really safe, easy songs and never gets called on it. Bland, insipid, non-threatening, unmemorable, blonde. Meet your next American Idol.
