American Idol 4/19

Or he could go the other way and just admit he’s obsessed. In that case, he should sing “Every Breath You Take”.

I’ve been quiet this week because in my heart I saw this coming. I knew Anwar wasn’t going to win, but I hated to see him lose out to lesser talents (and I include Carrie Benet Wonderbread in that group). Anwar (and Niko) has a level of musical sophistication for which there is little room in this type of competition. I hope that the exposure he got will lead to a CD; I envision him producing something on the lines of Norah Jones’ “Come Away With Me” – not for everyone, but a jewel to be treasured by some.

At this point, all the contestants are very talented; but for me, Anwar was the only one who had something fresh and unique to offer. Now I’ll cast my votes for anyone who has a chance to beat the Stepford Idol, although I don’t think that’s possible.

Did anyone notice how HOT Bo was this week?

[sub]Kidding, but I wanted to be the first to mention it and got beaten at the draw.[/sub]

My dream two right now are Vonzell and Bo. After A-Fed and Scott go, I want Creepy Connie to be next.

I’m hoping it wasn’t scripted – it was a great move. I hated when they pulled that move last year; but at least then it was an obvious travesty that the three best singers were all in the “bottom” group. Here, it would have just been piling on the losers of the group. So, props to Bo – he’s a classy guy.

That explains a lot!

Someone linked me to that site this morning. I was a bit dismayed. I know that AI produces music that is the very height of mainstream pop music but I find what these people are doing distasteful.

I’m not sure how much it explains. I note that the poll results on who the site visitors think is worst indicate fewer than 3,000 votes, in toto.

I saw on one of the “entertainment” shows that today Puala is supposed to answer her critics that accuse her of drug abuse. I guess the Enquirer/Star have published stories recently.

That she did.

Hold onto your hats. Looks like Primetime Live is putting together an “potentially explosive expose.”

Hope that doesn’t have anything whatsoever to do with why Paula is incoherent and Scott is still there.

No, it has to do with Paula possibly carrying on an affair with Corey Clark (and possibly Justin Guarini.

She wasn’t kidding when she told Nikko she was “creaming”! (I didn’t imagine she said that to him, did I?)
If the humping started after America started voting, then I don’t see the problem. Poor Paula, her love life has always been crap. Reduced to coercing the young boys on her TV show.

If the only evidence is the word of Corey Clark I wouldn’t put much stock in it. The guy always struck me as a skuzz ball anyone who beats up his little sister doesn’t have any credibility with me.

maybe scott should sing Clay’s stalker song.

Well, Paula better keep her grubby little hands off Bo or a large group of us will have to fly out to LA and have a little chat with her.

Word

Bo can have any woman he wants, I doubt he needs Paula.

Invisible.

*If I was invisible
Then I could just watch you in your room…

I keep tracing your steps
Each move that you make
Wish I could read what goes through your mind…*

That didn’t strike me as being contextually appropriate for Scott’s situation. It’s more along the lines of someone who hasn’t gotten up the nerve to talk to the woman in the first place, rather than the guy who wants “his” woman back.

The article’s no longer viewable on their site, but gossip Columnist Cindy Adams had some quotes in her NY Post column from his upcoming book…

He’s just desperately trying to promote a CD he’ll be releasing next month. You can listen to the single, Wiggle & Shake, here (but be warned, it is really, really freaking horrid. I’d rather buy William Hung’s CD than this drek!)

Boy’s got balls of steel and an ego the size of the Pacific Ocean. He’s actually trying to take any part of the credit for the AI2 Top 10 CD going gold, and thinks he “has become one of the most memorable top ten finalists to date.” What a tool!
