VH1s Best Week Ever! the guy from SportsCenter with the red eye was waxing poetic about Vonzell. He went on to list why all the other AI contestants are not as good as Vonzell. His reason for Carrie was “she’s the white Kelly Clarkson”. I just about fell off the couch laughing.

Yay! I might actually enjoy this week! Please, please let the spoilers be true. Except the A-Fed one. I suspect I’ll be using the mute button for that. Actually, I take that back. I’ve begun to loathe him slightly less in the past two weeks. He or Scott absolutely needs to go this week. If it’s Vonzell I’m going to be pissed off.
I think we’re owed a good music week after last week, which I thought was [Simon voice]dreadful[/Simon voice]. I barely watched the first half because I was on the phone with my dad. You know it’s a bad AI when I actually answer the phone.
Would this have any effect on Mr. Smarmy’s ability to finish out the show? I know that there was some talk at the beginning of the season about how Connie could compete since he wasn’t currently signed even though he’d performed in Rent.
Jeez, I’m not sure I even know any 21st century songs. Not that it matters, since I’ve decided to root for Connie all the rest of the way, or at least until he goes home.
According to the audition portion of AI, he quit the band. I hope that means they’re going on without him. Now I really,* really* hope loses AI.

The Idol forums on the net are all saying that song list is fake now. After much rooting around all that seems to have been verified is that: The theme is indeed songs of the 2000’s (verified by Seacrest on his radio show), that Vonzell will be doing a ballad from 2002 (possibly Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why?”) and that Anthony is doing a ballad originally sung by a woman (no idea what). There is one rumor floating around that Bo is going to do “Arms Wide Open” by Creed and I hope that rumor is false even though he would nail it. Please, Bo, don’t do Creed, I’m begging you, just don’t go there no matter how comfy it looks.
