Being in Birmingham, Alabama, I’m legally required to pull for Ruben. However, I don’t really follow the show that much – my wife is the AI fan in the family.

It would be nice to hear them sing some more modern songs after so many older songs being sung in the past few episodes.
I wanted to add a concern about Ruben, his voice has been sounding strained, and he even sounded a little breathless during the group medley last night. Obviously, I want Clay to win, but I’d hate to see Ruben collapse, I think they do push those guys pretty hard.

Tiramisu, I had a listen to a clip of that song and while it’s a nice song and all, I thinks it’s a bit too mellow for this venue and perhaps not quite “pop” enough.
Another song I’ve been dying to hear Clay perform is “World of Our Own” by Westlife. It’s not only a relatively current “boy band” pop song, but their album was produced by none other than Simon Cowell, himself! You can listen to a sample here, though they’ve cut the clip off right where the tempo starts to pick up, so if you haven’t heard the song before, it might be hard to judge by that. If I can find a link to a better sample, I’ll come back and post it.
