Did she just do Ryan? How many times a season does he say those exact words?
I’m familiar with the Blood Sweat and Tears version, so I thought it was a pretty bold choice.
I was thinking she looked like Blossom.
Tuning in later, here… but I did like Alex. One favor, though. Judges, can we please strike “relevant” from this season’s vocabulary? Thanks.
Barring that, perhaps a drinking game? For the real hardcore drinkers, we’ll give you Randylogue… drink up whenever someone says “dog or man.” Double shots if Randy calls the same person both “dog” and “man” on the same night. I’m thinking that the word “relevant” this season is going to lead to some hard mornings.
What she just did sounded like the Blood, Sweat & Tears arrangement. I wasn’t aware Otis Redding did “Spinning Wheel,” either. Not sure if I was born yet (hello, 1974!) but I think I missed Otis Redding’s version by a few years.
I DO remember my mom dmacing around the kitched to the Blood, Sweat & Tears version, though.
I liked her.
Oy Vey. Another blonde. ::yawn::
I said this before and I’ll say it again. She sounds just like Britney if Briney could sing.
I think I might actually be wrong about Otis doing “Spinning Wheel.” For some reason I had it in my head that he wrote it. It’s quite possible that I just pulled that from my ass, though.
Damn! That would have cool.
God, these blondes are all the same.
Groovy Kind of Love. She’s doing the Phil Collins version of this song and country-frying it…badly.
IU want to see her impersonate Jenna Jameson.
That was OK. It’s tough to take on Janis, and she survived.
This season, the guys seem to be more impressive the first week than the girls. I can’t say I’ve heard a standout like Melinda or Kiki among the girls at all so far.
She really needs to stop pimping dead daddy. I’m a sucker for big voiced black girls though, so I liked it.
Asia’h was pleasantly surprising. I like how she kept just enough Janis in there to not butcher the original, but infused her own personality and style into it. Kinda wish she’d had the gonads to hit the high note, but oh well.
So are the ‘12’ guys on strings in the background and they have to stand up for every performance? Are there little electrical zappers in the seats? I thought I noticed some girls doing that last night but thought they were freaky fans but now realize they were the ‘12’ girls. Whose lame idea was this?
Or am I the lame one and this is what happens on idol all the time? This is the first time I’ve watched past the initial quals.
I really dug the Spinning Wheel - Alex seems like a pretty good performer.
Something about Asia’h bugs me - like her voice takes a half-second to kick in on each note and that kind of annoys me.
I am amazed that voice comes out of Ramiele’s body.
My son is in TV lust.
