So is everyone prepared to be Idoled out this week? We’ll have episodes not just tonight and tomorrow night, but a third (results) show on Thursday. Whew.

Tonight over a two-hour time span we’ll hear from the top 12 guys. They are:

Personally, I’m looking forward to—and remember more—the boys more than the girls. I especially can’t wait to see Chris Sligh again.

I like the crop of guys this year better than the girl gang as well.

I thought the boys were stronger last year too. It seems like with the girls the judges give us too many who look/sound exactly alike and all the faces just blend into one, making them utterly forgettable for me. I can remember Lakisha, Melinda, Antonella, and Gina, but that’s it. I also just noticed today that Sanjaya is only 17. I hope he stands up to the pressure okay. He seems like such a sweet kid.

Also, he looks entirely different from Chicken Little, which can only be a good thing.

My favs are Chris Sligh, Sanjaya, Melinda Doolittle (the gal who sang back-up for a number of years), and single mom Lakisha Jones.

The rest just sound/look too generic.

Well, lesse – House is off the air for three weeks, so I assume that’s how many shows until the Top 12 comes together.

That means 12 have to go in the next three weeks, so I’m guessing four get the boot per week – two guys and two girls.

All guesswork, of course.

If they follow the same format as last year (which they don’t always do, of course), then Hal is correct. There’ll be two guys and two girls sent home each week for the next three weeks.

Does anyone know if there’s anywhere I can watch this online later since I’m going to miss the actual show? Does Fox put the episodes, or at least the singing parts, online?

Hmmm…so that’s twice now Seacrest has snubbed Taylor Hicks in the list of past sucesses…what’s the story there?

What in the holy hell is Rudy singing? I cannot understand a word that is coming out of his mouth. Except “Whoo!”

Also, I think he might have many teeth as Giada DeLaurentis, which … I didn’t even think is possible.

In fairness, tonight’s list was current success. Chris Daughtry is currently #1. McBoobs is currently #2. Jennifer Hudson is currently nominated for an Oscar.

Taylor Hicks’ album was certified platinum January 17. That’s, like, a whole month ago!

Not impressed with Rudy. The “y’all” and the rip off of Taylor’s “woo” were both lame. Didn’t like him in the auditions and don’t like him now. Kind of boring.

Did Rudy look a bit like Peewee Herman at a few moments in that song? Or is it me?

That was awful. Nasally and mumbled. My hubby said, “He’d do great in one of these bars on 5th”. It made him happy when Randy said the same thing.

You know, they wouldn’t need to preempt “House” if they didn’t show 10 minutes of commercials per 3 minutes of singing. Just sayin’, is all.
