I was informed this weekend that they have begun releasing Doctor Who episodes on DVD.
This is a terifying prospect.
I currently have just about every episode on videotape since the Pertwee Era. But the tapes are old and some of them have broken when I’ve tried to rewind them. DVD is sorely tempting.
So far there are only three: “Spearhead From Space”, “The Five Doctors”, and “Robots of Death”. And someone said it only looked like a half-dozen more or so next year, so it’s not too bad yet. Given the three that exist, I can passon “Spearhead” for the moment, but I must own “Robots of Death.” And I hope you can jump directly to “Please do not throw hands at me.”
Other episodes I’ll probably buy on sight:
Kinda
Genesis of the Daleks
Earthshock
City of Death
Pyramids of Mars
Logopolis/Castrovalva
and Kinda again, in case anything happens to the first one.
