An Assortment of Danish for the MMP

Car repairs are terrifyingly expensive, but having just traded up from two consecutive $1k cars, I can tell ya that they’re out there.

For Yom Kippur, say “They tried to kill us, we won, let’s wait 24 hours, then eat!”

Walls!!!111 How ya been? Good on you for goin’ back to skool.

Home from irk. I stopped by the IGA in da Burg whilst I was up there and bought a bunch of sweet N.O.T. for thirty-nine cents a pound. Now I just have to plan for dindins involvin’ ‘em over the next couple weeks. Ok, I’m startin’ now cause I have a couple bakin’ away in the convection oven as I post.

Yeah, that’s the excitatement in my life. A deal on sweet N.O.T.

ETA: Hee Rosie!

Here’s a warm Yom Kippur Mazel Tov for all those celebrating!

Best of luck finding a car, conga! Few things are more stressful than needing a reliable car on the cheap. The best I could do was $3800 with taxes for a 1995 Cavalier. Hopefully things are more reasonable in your neck of the woods.

Today it was weenies on the Foreman grill with Heinz (of course!) ketchup and Stadium mustard which I hear comes from Cleveland. This combination is possibly illegal here in my City of Three Rivers, but I like to live dangerously.

My green guest room looks really nice now, and I’m exhausted. I got most of my yarn sorted and organized, plus all the baby yarn is bagged to go. I’ve also got a couple of boxes to fill with stuff for AMVETS, and a couple of computers to give to a former coworker, if he’s interested. And with the futon in the sofa position, the room looks bigger. Yay!

I made a london broil for supper, but I left it in the rotisserie too long, so it was well done and a bit dry. Then I made instant smashed N.O.T., but I had to toss the whole batch. There were lots of really white blobs throughout - it looked like flattened cottage cheese curds, but I don’t know what it was. Not being adventurous when it comes to eating stuff I can’t identify, we just had the beef and the green beans. Not very satisfying. Oh well…

I need to get my tools from my studio for class tomorrow, but other than that, an evening of crocheting is on the agenda.

Except now I want a baked sweet N.O.T., damn you swampy!!! :stuck_out_tongue:

I made a few pendant type things in clay. They’re cooking at the moment. I hope they look good when they’re done.

Just found out my dog trainer has $10 for me. She sold 2 of my clicker lanyards. YAY for money!!

Evenin’ all.

Can anyone help me clear up an odd mystery? I just looked in my fish tank and saw- skinny, very unhealthy, but definitely alive- a fish that has been MIA for over 2 months. In a 2 foot tank. I’ve rearranged the entire tank in that time, taking out all the decor and cleaning it when I added new plants- everything except the filter, which is siliconed in place.

Just one question…
HOW???

What, if anything, is Big Bird? Quite amusing presentation by an actual scientist.

Wish I could help, Fil, but I’m mystified as well.

Shana Tovah!

Good luck with the car hunt, shortdrum.

Wanna come organize things at my house when you run out, FCM?

Welcome back, Blossom. Congrats on going back to school.

There was more, but I’ve forgotten, so I’ll just dispense hugs.

Back later.

When you took the plants out, Skinny was tangled in the artificial seaweed (or whatever). Since everything was replaced within a reasonable amount of time, Skinny didn’t die. He’s just been sleeping until he had the strength to swim again.

Either that, or the other fish locked him in fish jail and only fed him enough scraps to keep him alive.

The sale at the IGA in da Burg goes through Firday. :stuck_out_tongue:

Nuts no idea about the fish but I like Rosie’s fish jail throry.

Been to Evening Prayer. Sinuses hurt. Out of pronouns. Need to lie upon bed and watch teevee.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

L’shanah tovah to you all! Looks like we’ve beat back the wolves from the phone’s door, for now. I’m still NOT happy with the situation, but I 'spose I’ll get over it.

Nut, I think you must have a miracle fish. Wierd.

I scheduled my first bambilance shift overnight Saturday-Sunday. w00t!

Go, Bobbio! I’m guessing you’ll want to tell us ALL about it on Monday. Hint hint hint.

Pictures for the holiday from the flickr blog.

I’m voting for the fish jail theory as well.

Yay for continued internet, Pearl!

Gonna knit for a bit and also watch something online. Maybe my latest favorite German cop comedy. Except that tonight’s episode isn’t up yet. Don’t they know I’m waiting just for it? ::stomps feet:: Wait a minnit! It’s up now. Yay! (Note to self: stomping feet on internet facilitates updates of shows that you want to watch.)

Happy middle of the week, all!

Irked, went to Canes Corner. I won an armband and got pictures signed by the goalie(one for the booster club, and one for my “just friend”:)). Team lost tonight. More irk tomorrow.

Good luck on the car search, congo!!

Welcome back Walls!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 63 degrees Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 92. Tomorrow the high will be 88 and then we cool down to the high seventies over the weekend! ‘Twill be a chilly 56 degrees Amurrkin Sattidy mornin’ when yours truly starts <snerk> butt smokin’. <snerk>

Yay for bambilance duty BBBobbio! We can’t wait for the stories.

Yay for continued phone/internet Pearl!

Now I shall seek out more caffiene and rumbly tummy must be fed. Then irk purtification shall take place.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Well, I’ll tell you all about it IF I have a good story to tell. Based on past experience, only about 1/4th of my calls are tale-worthy. Trust me, you want me to leave out the boring stuff.

Blurf. I can haz Firday?

Up, caffeinated, off to irk. I’d like a Firday, too.

I was sleeping in, all comfy and stuff, and the phone rang. **FCD **was calling to tell me he sent me an email. So much for sleeping in. <sigh>

OK, I’ve got to tell you all that the fish jail theory is total hogwash. The only sensible and logical explanation is alien fish abduction. Somewhere in the tank is a portal to a parallel universe tank and the occupants of the other tank pulled your fish thru. Happens all the time in our tank - all of a sudden we’ll see a critter we’ve never seen before, or one of our regulars is nowhere to be found. It’s a well-known fish-tank dynamic. Really. Would I lie??

Another uggerrific day, but a cold front is supposed to start to pass thru tonight, and this weekend, it’s supposed to be much cooler and less humid. Huzzah, and about freekin time!!! Half of our doors are swollen from the damp - the back garage door is tough to close and tougher to open. Everything smells damp and ick. I can’t wait to open things up again.

Meanwhile, class today - make a monster head. Not my favorite thing to do, but I need to finish what I started. Then I get to run to Home Depot and get some surge protectors for my sweetie, then pick up a gallon of milk on the way home. I might even stop for a burger for lunch because I can.

Happy Thursday!

Why the hell am I awake at 8am? Oh yeah, my sweetie is sleeping on his back so his mouth keeps dropping open so he’s gurgling (he’s on a CPAP).

Ugh. I’ll try sleeping on the couch. Maybe 1 more hour. Two would be nice though.

Good morning! Not too blurfy this morning, thank goodness.

I just bought tickets to the Cleveland Browns/Houston Texans game in November. I get a discount through my company. They’re in the nosebleed section in the endzone, but it will be fun! Mr Rebo is a Cleveland fan, seeing as how he’s a DAMN YANKEE from Ohio. Hee!

And I have some work today! Yay! I better get to it.

Hugs and kisses, swats and 2 by 4’s…

Later!
