It’s coming up to christmas. Loads of people from Ireland post here. Let’s go out and get merry. UK/Ireland dopers come on, flights are still cheap, peak oil effect hasn’t hit yet, let’s ring in the recession with a bang. Paging Pushkin, Yojimbo, Laudenum, Galwegian, et al.
I would do but I have a hol in Sweden at the end of the month so can’t really afford to hop to Dublin as well. Saying that I could be induced with the right amount of flattery…
Illuminatiprimus, you are a paragon.
Apologies, right now I can’t even afford a PushkinDope in my own bedroom.
Certainly doable.
Sorry, I’m currently unemployed and saving my pennies. I haven’t even been to the local pub for a few months.
Damn, I wish I could fly over- I haven’t been to Dublin in almost 20 years!
Hitch a lift down with all the Southerners going north for ‘recession-busting’ christmas shopping. Seriously it’s only €15 return on the Aircoach from Belfast to Dublin.
A paragon of what, may I ask?
If this was after xmas, say the end of Jan or something I’d be up for it. But I’ve got too much going on between here and New Year/Sweden to do it. I don’t my attendance or lack thereof critical to this operation (nor do others I’m sure).
Actually the start of February would be perfect for me in all honesty. A paragon of paragonality of course.
If it’s Feb that should be really easy for me, so put me down as a provisional yes.
raises hungover head
A piss up you say?
Indeed yojimbo!
Hungover on a Chewsday? Fair play to you!
T’is the (beginning of the) season …
Let the ossification commence.
Bump (into things when you’re drunk).
Damn… I have friends flying over in March, and I dearly wish I could tag along (been invited but there is just no way). Edit- it’s the band I told you about, An Gadai- it will be a blast, I’m sure!
Bah humbug. I knew this would happen again.
Guess you’ll have to come to Cleveland to see your “real” friends.
If I had the time and the money my friend, but deadlines are looming in college. I still haven’t tried out Ms Hynde’s vegetarian restaurant down by you.
