An Impatient MMP

It was 12 degrees Amurrican this morning with a wind chill of 3. And there’s not even any snow! We had ice Saturday night. Talk about a mess. This is, meteorologically speaking, the coldest week of the year so I just need to make it through 6 more days. I had to look up how to spell meteorologically. Lots of Os in that word.

Yeah, I know. I’ve actually been sitting on the couch crying for the last 45 minutes. Ultra-productive. I just went in and changed my shirt because it was wet and came in and started up again. :dubious:

This time I’m really off to study. (Hopefully)

Ah, it’s a nice foggy day outside. Bit rainy. Just the way I like it.

Yes, I’m weird. I love when it’s a rainy day on my weekend. Bad weather rules!

:frowning: {{{{Sticky}}}}

It was 68 degrees yesterday afternoon and 38 this AM. And FCM hijacked a thread Spidey hadn’t even started yet.

I’m just going to bed and pulling the covers up -------- this week is already way too strange for me.

I’m about ready to just give up for the day. I cannot or just barely can hear people on the phone. I’ve taken to not even tryin’ to answer the phone just emailin’ the caller (when I know who it is) with apologies explainin’ my stuffded up haid and askin’ for them to email me instead of callin’ for a few days. Jeez!

I am also a chronically early person for appointments and such. One of the things I like about irk is that there’s on set hours to start/finish although bidness is done typically nine to five. I then to crank up between seven and seven-thirty in the mornin’ doin’ stuff like casenotes and other paperirky stuff. I’m nice enough to not bother people before nine a.m. cause I’m nice dammit.

Mawnin all

Just hauling my lazy butt outta bed

I’ll be back after some caffine

Oh, Happy Monday all

**Jim

Spidey** you got some splanin to do

Wow
It’s a whooping 58 degrees outside.
Dreary and foggy but warm

I just woke up at 10:30, only because the SO called and woke me up.

I dislike being late as well, and I get really annoyed if I have to wait for others.

It was one of the biggest issues I had with my son’s paternal grandparents. If they said they were going to pick him up at 5:30 I knew it would be no earlier than 6:30 and probably closer to 7.
They would call me late on xmas mornings to tell me what was up for the day, it was by then that they finally decided what they were going to do.
Eventually it caused a huge rift between us. I can be flexible but eventually I hit my limit.
Last year his aunt called me at 2pm, to invite him to a birthday party at 4pm, and they live almost 2 hours away. I left it up to my son and he told her no, he had other plans for the day.

I guess I’d better get up, and get started on my day.

The condo didn’t work out, it was for seniors. It would have been nice if they had put that in the ad. They’ll take me and the dog, just not my kid.
I contacted a realtor about a condo near here, it’s sounds perfect even if it is just a bit outside my range. My son would have to take the bus instead of walk, or I could drive him but he would go to the same HS.
Pets are allowed, it’s ground floor, and surprisingly, for the price, it’s waterfront. Makes me wonder why it’s so cheap, $1200 for two bedrooms on the water?

Impatient? IMPATIENT?!

Yeah, probably the most impatient I get is while driving and People Are Doing Stupid Things. Oh, man, I yell things I would be mortified if someone overheard me saying.

In the meantime:

  • too damn cold in Dallas/Irving
  • work just informed us that they would be ordering us uniform shirts. For IT. We’ll be the only people wearing them. Fuuuuuuuuuuu
  • on the plus side, we just moved, and I now have a window.
  • except I was stupid, because it was dark, and I faced my computer AWAY from the window. I’ll be fixing that before I go home.
  • one of my kitties literally ate my homework - curriculum guide for RE, she managed to get the binder open, tear out a page, and chew/swallow most of a fifth of a page. Why?
  • I dug out some of my writing, my unfinished third novel, and I actually wrote several pages. This is big.

Other stuff. It’s been a busy couple of weeks, apparently.

Hi, I’m at school now. I’ve sneaked onto this message board.

We have a bunch of new people in class today. Darn it, I wanted to make cupcakes for everyone yesterday, but didn’t get around to it. I suppose I could make some tonight. Gee, writing about cupcakes is making me hungry!

See y’all once I get back home.

Well now I know why I went to bed early, got up early, everything is whacky…

Cause I’m sick. Realized it was coming on strong at 11 this morning. Called in for the evening, now its going to be a quiet day.

(Sticky)

Hmmmmmmm - on the water or half under water??

It’s after 12 and I haven’t taken a lunch break. I’m thinking I’ll just head out. I’ve gotten a lot done and I’m almost out of things to do. Meanwhile, there’s tons to do at home to get ready for tomorrow, so that’s probably a better use of my time.

Plus I’s tahred!!! <whine whine whine>

Now wait just a cotton-pickin’ minute* I dun got no ‘splainin’ to do!
Swampy nominated me to start today but I dijint accept said nomination; & if it was a command performance; well, nobody stated that he’s a soverign head of state.

I was horizontal in bed, where I am now/again. I only got vertical to go to doctor/pharmacy. ‘Lunch’ was 4 pills & one liquid medsin that I was told to take.
I arrived prompltly, approx 2 mins before my appt. Any earlier & you’re just wasting time.

  • How many seconds are in a cotton-pickin’ minute? (<-- or should we save that as the topic for next week’s mump? :D)

Ooooh, defiance towards Swampy? This might wind up on your Permanent Record[sup]tm[/sup]!

Having recently resided in a house surrounded by a cotton field, I can attest that it’s 60 seconds, just like anywhere else. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just call me Garfield because I HATE MONDAYS!!!

If you choose the wrong person to say “Cotton pickin’” to, you could end up in a duel.

In which case there will be two seconds.

Spidey, in addition to the cotton-picking minute (the standard minute) there is also the New York minute (15-30 seconds) and the Waynesville minute (1 day-3 years).

}Chicken soup for the sickies{

Home, exhausted, tired, pooped, fatigued, and just plain worn out… I stopped for a few groceries on my way home, then changed into grubbies, and helped **FCD **move the sink out to the garage. Then I emptied my base cabinets so we can remove the counters and haul them out to the garage. I see a kitchen-stuff garage sale in my future - there’s all kinds of little appliances that I didn’t even know I had, plus bunches of cookware and weird thingies that just take up space.

Supper tonight is a stromboli that I grabbed at Food Lion, since I don’t have a sink or working dishwasher right now. And Klondike bars were on sale, so that’s dessert.

Other than that, I got nothing. C’mon Firday!!!
