The axolotyls eat small aquatic wriggly things- whatever they can fit in, really- currently feedin’ 'em on bloodworm. They’re really funny to watch hunting; they’ve only got one set of legs yet, and they’re really thin, so they do this really wobbly stalking, and half the time they miss at the end- even though the food’s just lying there, and they could just come right over and eat it.
I’m afraid this is the end of the pottery term, so I’m not going to be able to go to the dippy hippy morning class next session. Maybe I’ll get lucky, and some I’ll get some proper woo in the evening class, to which I am planning to go.
Spent half yesterday being all cross- there’s a really nice little park locally, and I went down there in the sun to have an ice lolly and a bit of a sunbathe, to discover the council are trying to cut down the three nicest trees in the park- the flowering cherries. They’re claiming they’re all fungussed and dying, which is clearly rubbish. They’re not showing any signs of serious disease at all. They’re also not planning to replace them.
I might have to get the lyric sheet to ‘we shall not be moved’ and the tambourines out, and chain myself to one. I’ve emailed the councillor for the area, not sure what else I should do…
The sun has finally gone in today, after over a week of glorious out-of-season sunshine.
I am almost up…posting from bed.
I was up a large chunk of the night as I couldnt sleep so I have been a slug this morning. I did scrub the house from top to bottom yesterday when I came in from work so I have nothing to rush up for. Mr ems has gone to get my Starbucks for me and we are going to make brekkie when he gets back! Yum bacon!
Our new cellphones are here. They came via USPS. Can’t believe they got here already when I didn’t even order ‘em until after four p.m. Thursday. Anywho, they’re chargin’ up right now. After they’re all charged up I get to call and activate 'em. Then we have shiny new phones to use! They’re a purty blue color.
Shortly we shall go indulge in not too shabby Chinese cause OYKW wants him some Chinese sustenance.
I slept in a little bit today, but did get up around 6:30 or so. I’ve been cruising the net and drinking coffee.
It’s raining here. It’s been raining here. Bah, I’m sick of the rain. I feel positively soggy.
We’re going to a friend’s house tonight to hang out with the usual gang. It’ll be nice to see them again. We haven’t seen each other in several weeks due to illnesses and family emergencies.
Other than that, I’ll do some laundry and run the dishwasher. I may vacuum, or I may leave it until tomorrow.
Not to rub you collective Mumper noses in it, but I’m a winner in the MegaMillions drawing - a whopping $3!!! Alas, not enough to take you all on the cruise I promised, but I think it’s enough for a small container of Ben & Jerry’s on sale, and I will think about you as I eat it!
Good morning!! I had a terrible night - waking around 2 and not able to fall back to sleep due to a nasty cough and my brain running a bazillion miles an hour. I lay on the couch and watched part of a couple of episodes of The Bob Newhart Show, then decided to try bed again, and I dropped off till almost 8. We managed to get up, get dressed, and get breakfasted. Then we opened an account at a local credit union, followed by a stop at McKay’s for some crablegs for supper tonight. I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer and **FCD **is futzing in his shop. It’s overcast and rained earlier, so I foresee a day where we pretty much stay inside.
Aw darn, I was hoping you were one of the lucky lottery winners, FCM. One of the tickets was bought in Maryland. Oh well, enjoy your Ben and Jerry’s.
It’s still nice and quiet here. Hubby is still upstairs sleeping, Brandi has joined him after going out for her morning potty, and Polar on the floor next to me. He is my shadow and follows me everywhere.

That has to be the coolest creature evah!!! It can grow new limbs! It can breathe through lungs or under water with gills! It’s very ugly!

Today starts my week-long vacation! Woo-hoo! And I’m keeping my granddaughter for three nights, while the kids go to Atlanta for ReboSon to attend sommelier training for work. He’s gonna be a wine snob!
Anyway, she has to go to school so I have to take her and pick her up, but Friday is a holiday so we’ll do something fun then. Maybe the zoo? Or the dog park. And I’ll get her to help me with cooking dinner, since her mom is culinary challenged! I’m planning on making spaghetti and meatballs, fried chicken and I’ll let her choose the other meal.
Today is doing-the-taxes day. The farthest I’ve gotten is to gather all the papers together in one pile.
I did tidy the kitchen, and empty and refill the dishwasher, and I did 2 loads of laundry, but mostly I’ve wasted time. Crab legs for supper tonight. Life is good at FairyChatEstates!

I survived doing the taxes. We are getting a refund! Not as big as other years, but that means I did the math right for withholding. Yay!
I’ve done a few loads of laundry, but the dry stuff is on the couch. (Towels and undies.) After all, I have all week to do it!

I just got off the phone with ReboDIL (ya like that?) and got all the logistics and schedules worked out for ReboGD’s visit. And homework required and stuff like that. This is gonna be interesting! it has been decided that the dog park is the activity on Good Friday, since ReboGD is going on a field trip on 4/13 to the zoo.

Going back to the auto shop on Monday and will ask them to convince me the tires are legally bald. With the car on the ground, the tires seem to pass the penny test.
There’s a much greater chance with me but in my case its no accident. It frustrates me to a certain point and then the GOEX comes out and me and said technological device take a trip ----- from which only I return. But I come back soooooo very happy!

Good morning. Another horrible night for me. I woke around 4 and could NOT fall back to sleep, so I flopped down on the living room sofa to watch TV. I decided to watch The French Lieutenant’s Woman on Netflix, and the @#*&%^$&^# movie cut off before it ended - for whatever reason, Netflix didn’t have the complete movie. They’ll be getting an angry email from me. Meanwhile, I think I have it on a DVD, so I’ll try to watch the ending later today. I’ve seen it before, but I’d forgotten most of it.
**FCD **and daughter are going to the fish place in Glen Burnie and I’m going to futz in the garden. So far, that’s all I’ve planned.
